Silly Drone Question

This may sound like a silly question but I'm going to ask it anyway. Blink

How does one see drones in space? I don't mean on the overview. I know how to make them visible there. I used to see them in space but ever since I had to reinstall EVE after a hard drive failure they have been invisible. Even other players' drones are not visible except on the overview. It's odd because I can see the beams emitted by salvage drones, but not the drones themselves. If I select one I am able to see the brackets but not the friendly green icon that used to indicate the drone itself.

Is there a setting somewhere that I've missed or has CCP changed something somewhere?

Brackets my good space buddy!! Brackets are your friends!! Youve likely had them turned off to show the drones in space.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

To build on this quote -

If you right-click on your overview tabs you get like 3-4 options, one of those is the brackets.
Personally I use the "show all" brackets for everything.

There is a checkbox in the option menu to "show drone models". I can't remember which section its in, but its amoungst the options in increase/reduce graphical effects (alongside "show engine trails", "show missiles", etc)

On a totally unrelated note. have you ever hit "look at" on the smaller rogue drones? Its worth checking out.
