Im late - but I'm for this.

One thing I dislike about EVE is that I can spend 4 hours looking for a fight and not get one. Other games are full of action and require much less time invested for chance at PVP.
Red vs Blue and faction warfare is too slow for me, even if the fights are there it's just not that rewarding to struggle to find decent engagements.

I can count on two hands the amount of really evenly matched group fights I've had in EVE in 4 years of playing - and that's unfortunate. It's why I unsub for months at a time. I'm on a trial month, but it seems slow as ever...

Go live in a wormhole with a nullsec static. Pop out, look around, no fights? Just roll the static. Just flying around from system to system without a plan isn't going to find you PvP. Use the tools provided, like the map, to find where the people are and go there.

Also realize that EvE may not be the game for you. If you spend months at a time unsubbed, then this is likely true. EvE is a lot more realistic as to the life of a soldier than most realize. It's hours of dull tedium accentuated by seconds of adrenaline rush. If what you're after is instant gratification, then you should probably look elsewhere.

Additionally, if you had a fair fight in EvE, both sides ****** up.

You're in the wrong space mate, what do you mean faction warfare is too slow? be a pirate, go on holidays to Black Rise, take part in thunderdomes if you want something even, no better feeling winning an outnumbered unfair fight.

I really dont understand how people can roam for 4 hours and not find a fight

I can't believe that this thread is actually 400+ replies deep. There really is no need for a discussion here, the word "arena" completely kills the idea to begin with.

and the thread is still going because nobody wants it ? Lol

The thread is still alive because it is a good idea that suits a lot of newer players to eve and old who don't want the same blob fest or linked bs that had been here since forever

Why cannot you have your toys and go play over there and we have our toys here ? How does this actually effect you other than you not liking a word ?

this thread had been dead for longer than it was active till you posted this.

again,

No.

Because they look at d-scan, see something scary, turn tail and run, then complain that they're not getting any fights after running away from everyone in a bigger ship/fleet than they're in.

i guess thats the problem with people, they only see pvp as something which they can compete against fairly, ill take on any cruiser in a frigate, the satisfaction you get from killing something when you are outnumbered or the odds are against you is fantastic, fck links and fck implants
