Hi! I have just bought an Orca, and I was planning on Mining Omber to sell at Jita, And I was wondering how effective mining with drones would be, opposed to using a barge or a exhumer? I'm Not in a corp, and I was also thinking of joining a Mining corp, is there any around Jita that are accepting?

The Orca isn't a mining ship. If you want to mine, you want a barge or exhumer.

Also, mining is a horribly bad way of making money, especially if you just sell the ore.

It's just I have absolutely no Idea how to make money, and I don't particularly want to fight anyone for it, So mining is the only real way I know.

Mining is a fine way to make money as long as you have someone giving you boosts.

the orca's drones are there to web asteroids so they don't escape

i think you should sell the orca, because it doesn't sound like you have a clear picture of what it's for. you can buy one later if you ever need it

What should I buy? Like what activity should I do to get isk?

This looks like a troll post tbh.

Start there. With the exception of doing belt ratting or low-level exploration in highsec, pretty much anything on that chart will beat mining as an income source.

Any specific ship I should get? Maybe a combat ship? I have about 1.1 billion isk now after selling the Orca.

Mine the minerals, build ships, sell them on market.

Or mine the minerals, sell them on market but you would need to mine a lot to make good isk. A mate of mine does that, in null-sec, with 5-6 miners, mining throughout the weekend, with boosts, and thats about 4-5 billion isk on a good day.

Been around since the beginning.

I had the same reaction. I think 'omber' was the last straw.

If earning ISK is your goal, go to the eve-mogul website and be amazed by the amount of ISK you can earn trading:

https://www.eve-mogul.com/leaderboards

When you realise some of those characters (eg. Rita Jita) have only been tracked for a few months, you'll understand why market trading, while boring for many, is the best way to earn ISK if you are dedicated.

So:

1. Train trading skills
2. Read the market discussions forum
3. Use relevant 3rd party tools
4. ????
5. Profit big

Or if you want something that won't explode when a Catalyst or 2 sneezes on it, a Procurer.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

That might even be worse than mining and just selling the minerals.

Yes.

It's not too much training either, you can train other things just for fun factor and not worry about making big money with whatever else you choose to do. Even training alts for trading is worth it, so you don't tie up your main to a station or region.

But yes, there are a lot of ways to earn isk, and it's probably more important to pick something that doesn't burn you out as boring or frustrating things can do that depending on the player and what they consider too boring.

Don't blame you tbh, I do it when I absolutely have to or can't sleep, other than that I avoid it like the plague.

Oh yeah ? Must be really bad for those guys doing it and making good isk.
