I like EVE Online and I spent all of last night on it instead of playing Skyrim. And that's saying a lot. I tried it out back in 2008 or 09, but didn't even get past the tutorials that time, but now I'm quite up-and-running a small mining operation and exploring the universe a bit and it's a lot of fun. Here's a couple of notes on features I'd like.

Do you have plans on eventually letting us out of the Captain's Quarters to socialize with the other visitors on space stations? It feels kinda lonely sitting in that cramped cell. I think it would be a great feature for getting to know the other players and create some really intriguing atmosphere. It wouldn't have to be much; just a space tavern or something like that, where you can relax with the other pilots and get to know them, make friends or foes and make plans together.

How about the planets? Will you eventually let us land on planets? I know there is a feature that lets you found colonies and stations on planet surfaces. Do you intend to expand on that? I mean it would be really cool to be the boss of your own planet, gang together with other players, hire people to transport your goods and hire mercenaries to protect it and so on.

A) Yes they plan on doing a multi player thing, it WAS slated to be in what is now Crucible but a LOT of players raged that spaceships needed love and that's steaming back at a "18 months" about how CCP was working, scraping and reworking their engine on making character environments int he first place. It's not, not going to happen, it's just on hold. We're expecting to see a little something this summer.

B) DUST 514. Go look that up, articles, trailers, etc. It was said that beta was gonna be this winter but I'm not so sure of that atm....but then again winter is officially January and February too :P

Thanks for the clarifications.

I'm really hoping for more use of the character. I mean they put all these resources into creating these wonderful characters, so they should count for something. Right now it seems pretty pointless wandering around the Captain's Quarters. LOL

I'll go look up Dust 514 and see what it's about...
