In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

Nautilus has become self-aware!

Everybody evacuate! Drifters are coming!

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I... Am at a loss for words. As a faithful woman and a Matari, I am disgusted. Even IF I were to be a heretical Sani Sabik, I'd still be disturbed at this facility.

Nauplius, honey, you're doing the evil super villain role very poorly. The biggest thing about being a supervillain is PRESENTATION.

Never not badpost.

Don't worry. I don't think there'll ever be any danger of that happening.

Estimated life expectancy of the POS in question this time? 5 days? Maybe 10?

Typical Amarr butchery...what do you think the Drifters will do to your civilians as they slowly crush your Empire? Your ISK would be put to better use defending your borders methinks.

Won't take long for this one to be destroyed. It might be my people, it might be your own, but it will be destroyed. You clearly think making a statement is more important than actually accomplishing the things you claim to be doing with these towers.

I'd note that most of The Empire despises Nauplius and his beliefs as much as the rest of the cluster. And I fear the Drifters, should they return to attack Amarr, will sail blithely past the demon summoner as he isn't remotely important to them.

Humanity has won its battle. Liberty now has a country.

Uh. Really, really not typical.

A typical atheist's critique of an Amarrian-style deity goes like this: "Omniscient; omnipotent; benevolent: pick two." Most Amarr try to reason their way around this issue or else just reply, in essence, "Faith."

Nauplius jumps straight in and picks "omniscient" and "omnipotent." Far as I can tell, at some point he decided that God is a cruel, sadistic being who likes to watch people (at least the unworthy, and especially Minmatar) suffer. Whether he actually picked this up by reviewing "holy writ," as he claims, I don't pretend to know.

In any case, he's maybe the only person most of us know who actually sees the state of the world and decides that the biggest problem with it is that certain people aren't suffering enough. He aims to fix that.

It'd be sad if he kept it to himself, but he doesn't. He likes inflicting his worldview on people, so ...

... well, he's a little bit of a problem, especially for the unlucky people he buys.

Minor quibble here from my days as one of the faithful but the actual answer to this is that god is not All Merciful or benevolent. He just is.

Respectfully, this seems to depend on whom you ask. A lot of Amarr seem to insist that theirs is a loving god.

Of course, this might be me extrapolating too far from the fact that most seem to see their god as meddling more or less beneficially in human affiars.

My sect's "god" "just is." ... but doesn't meddle.

Right because typically, the Amarr don't go around enslaving Matari, killing them, torturing them and basically making everyone else's lives miserable because of their God.
