nope, not worth it.

The sheer effort of it!

In all seriousness, it takes like a 1-2 minutes extra.

Not even. Bookmarking and abandoning is done while you are still running the mission, adding zero time. Contracting the bookmarks takes all of 20 seconds. Totes worth it for an extra ~5mil. Can't even be bothered to work out the isk/hr on that.

This is of course assuming you don't mind missioning in the PS hubs, which are some of the busiest and therefore most gank-magnety.

That is true but unless you're running some kind of ridiculous bling I doubt you'd get suicide ganked. I ran a Mach with 3x RF Gyros and a dead space shield booster in Lanngisi and never ran into any issues at all.

I was running a highly blinged rs out of lann a little while ago, made some good money and didn't have any trouble either. Moved on cos I wanted to start balancing my faction standings. Lost the rs a little while later, cos I forgot to switch back from my mwd to my mjd after doing recon, and didn't notice till I'd warped into the first pocket of serpentis assault. Didn't last long.

Anyhoo, have we actually answered this chaps question yet?

What do you think about Amarrian T1 battleships in PvE: Abaddon, Apocalypse and Armageddon? Well, maybe Amarrian Navy battleships are way better?

Don't bother with any of those. Use NMs ONLY.

I can fly NM. I asked this question because of my low-skilled colleague who wants to start running L4 missions in Amarr space and he does not speak English.

Apocalypse best laser ship for L4 beginner. good for L4
Abaddon is equal to Nightmar (1k dps), but to fly and fit him properly your need experience. excellent
Armageddon is a drone boat. just OK

OK, I will suggest him Apoc because unfortunately NApoc is a bit pricy.

Can you list a fit for the abaddon? My experience trying to fit it in eft is that it is so cap unstable that it's near useless for level 4's.

At best you're rolling with a full load of cap boosters, but that's pretty unsustainable unless you have a freighter to restock with.

This is completely false. Abaddon has got nothing on the NM. The NM has better cap, faster speed, better agility, better slot layout, can be shield or armor tanked and much better fitting room. Good luck trying to fit tachs on the baddon.

as i mentioned above, to fly and to fit Abaddon properly you need experince

Abaddon, tachyon (om my current skill)

8xTachyon Modulated Energy Beam, imperial multi/ultraviolet

Large Micro Jump Drive
2xF-90 Positional Sensor Subroutines, Scan Resolution Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script

4xHeat Sink II
Damage Contorl II
Energized Adaptive membrane II
Medium Armor Repairer II

3xLarge Semiconductor Memory Cell I

some numbers:

imperial multi 38+32km/~1k dps with drones; imp. ultraviolet 66+32km/600+dps (main)
lock frig around 9s, ultraviolet cover lock range. cap enough for: multi 3,5 minutes; ultraviolet 5 minutes.

the time is probably negligable, bookmark any wreck while you are killing, and abandon when you are done with the pocket. Then copy over all bookmarks into cargo while you are in warp back to station. So the time is just whatever it takes to move bm's from cargo to hangar and then contract them.

its more the effort of doing all that. meh. Especially with blitzing where I don't generate many wrecks, and with burner wrecks I loot them, and I'm 99% sure they don't give good salvage. If I did nothing but the blockade over and over again, then yea would probably be worth it to use prosynergy.

Yeah it's obviously not for people who blitz the mission for LP. However if you do the mission for the bounties as well (you're killing all the rats) then it's far superior to coming back with a Noctis to salvage. Even using an alt to salvage is inferior since that alt will earn you more money in a second combat ship.

If you're doing level 4 missions, I recommend you getting a Apocalypse Navy Issue, fitted with Mega Pulse lasers II (with Scorch L and Navy Multifreq)

It's more than capable, but at the same time not completely overkill (Like a Paladin or other Marauder would)

Something like this may be good for low/null sec anomalies, but for hi-sec PVEing the NM is hand downs the best t1 laser boat.

edit: wait, what in the world.....that thing has a medium repper on it...................just forget it all together and use a NM, they only cost 390 mill now.

That fit is kind of the poster child of the problems I was having with amarr ships (and the abaddon is by far the worst offender).

I honestly don't see how people can fly the abaddon as anything other than a buffer tanked scorch or a buffer tanked 1400 alpha ship. It's kind of a shame, it's such a slick looking ship.
