I haven't really been keeping up with eve updates.

I assume in terms of systems upgrades a -.01 is still as good as a -1 IE there is no benefit besides the ore witch is in the system belts still.

Lower sec = better planets

But there is no difference between nullsec systems when it comes to manufacturing, research, invention or refining.

Referring to the hidden belts that come along with system upgrades....

Example a -.01 system wont have many Havens etc.

Where a -1 system will have a lot of sanctums

When this realse was first put into the game for mining upgrades a .01 was just as good as a -1

My question states is has there been any updates to change this?

Yep, the mining anoms are still the same. Heads up though, they aren't hidden belts anymore, they are just anoms.

I have a feeling the relic and data site spawns may be different with lower sec (as in the ones from the industrial upgrades) not entirely sure though.

Belts are better depending on true sec now. Asteroids in the Large, Colossal and Enormous belts will have different ores based on the truesec value. If it's -.45 to -.84, you get 5% ores in those belts and if it's -.85 or above, you get 10% ores.

Nulsec was recently buffed a little.
