T2 production question

Here's a simple question -

Do researched BPO's matter at all in the production of T2 items?

For example - if I only plan on producing T2 items (and going from BPOs, to copies, to invented T2 BPCs, to finished products, all on my own), should I bother buying researched BPO's?

Thanks!

Other than ammo and rigs, the T1 item is required to make the T2. Whether you decide to build or buy it is another matter, if build then you'd probably want the T1 BPO researched.

It makes no difference for the invention process though.

Right, I suppose I misspoke when I said "all on my own" - I would be buying the materials (including T1 items) for the T2 items.

Anyway, thanks.

If your buying all items to make the T2 bpc then researchin bpo will make no difference.

I still recommend owning at least one of the T1 BPO well researched. Or if that BPO is expensive (e.g. Entosis Link) then acquire BPCs that are ME 10.

You will often have a localized supply shortage of the T1 item.

In building T2 neutron blaster cannons, for instance, I often find that there are no NBC1s available anywhere in the game that are reasonably priced and in those cases, it's better to build my own. (Other times I can pick up a thousand of them at a bargain price).
