Been gone for 2 years and started again today.

Is there a tool or some way to change the colors of UI like it was before? I honestly cant see that well and if its during the day I have no way to adjust the contrast of the screen so any light makes it very hard to read any window.

Only other thing is the icons are all different in space if you are on 4k you cant tell what anything is. The stations once I scaled them up sort of make sense and I can deal with it, do they have retro setting or some way to get it back?

I looked all over the web for a tool to change the colors like the old system, but no luck.

I am willing to change HTML code or open files in the client directory or any sort of change to make it so I can see / play.

Oh last question why didn't they put +text option for the icons for UI like web browsers? FF I have icon + text makes it really easy, and I want icons only one click and its clean.

+Another idea would be to do it through the game settings in the Nviidia driver menu, maybe someone has an eve profile I could copy.

Yes I tried all the settings and all the premade color schemes but none made it possible for me to see the windows clearly like I used to be able too.

I switched dx9 hoping it would make it easier to read, updated my video driver hoping I would get a profile that would give me options, and kept searching the web for a solution, but it seems others have the same trouble and nobody can fix it.

I am sort of sad now I was pretty excited to get back into the game but seeing the windows clearly is key to me being able to function.

Its taken me 2 days of fiddling with the interface so I can get the same drag and drop functionality I used to have.Which was fast and easy to use. I had to figure out how to disable and force new windows to open on command, and learn the new icons which I still don't get exactly, then out in space overview icons are horrible where are the red crosses I knew and loved?

I am not a UI designer so I don't have any advice except this experience of coming back to a game I knew very well and I can honestly say with no regrets that even though it was old and outdated the old UI was easier to use for me.

I was about to sub up for a year on 3 accounts but now I am worried that I cant play because I cant see. After seeing the Sov changes and nerfs to Jump Capabilities I am even thinking about selling anything with a jump drive and the characters that can fly them.

Be great to hear from someone from CCP because my trust is shaken in the decision making at this point, and I am sorry this sounds harsh.

The new icons work well after some training ... however you should choose a permanent background color for all (neutral) players, to be able to tell them apart from NPC stuff. Gamma adjustment comes on Dec 8th with the next patch. Try playing with the new transparency and blurring settings, I turned / slided them off to get the old behavior.

Surprisingly, there are certain cloistered game developers who have scant relations with graphics cards and that 3rd party community. Can you believe that? You might find also there are still games online that are using antiquated coding!

I will try to mess with the settings and see if I can get some clarity, I do really miss playing Eve but I doubt I'll be as useful as I was in the past, becoming a system renter out in null may be an option, I was told about the Goons new rental plan and that may work for me as well but I doubt my mains would be granted access to that.

My return to Eve is most likely temporary, I'm a collector of sorts (hoarder?) and have not missed a Christmas gift ever so that's why I re-subbed my main accounts, to keep a collection intact, even though this collection has only sentimental value it would bug me to no end if I broke the cycle.

I may sound bitter but Eve is still the greatest game I have ever played, I have made good friends and had a blast, I had an exceptional run so I really can't complain.

I wouldn't be much use to you guys I'm afraid, I lost my confidence which makes me a threat to whomever I fly with, plus my main characters are already in corps but on suspended duty you could say, but I do appreciate the kind offer though.
