Question about/problem with [Traits] text

I dont understand why the traits window of T2 ships lists the T1 skills per skill level and not the full bonus. I dont know a single T2 ship that doesnt require the racial frig/cruiser/BS skill to be at lvl5. So why list those skills "...per skill level" when the ship only calculates with the full lvl5 skill level? Take the guardian for example:

Logistics bonuses (per skill level):
15% reduction in Remote Capacitor Transmitter activation cost
15% reduction in Remote Armor Repairer activation cost

Fine so far. To list this one per skill level makes sense.

Amarr Cruiser bonuses (per skill level):
150% bonus to Remote Armor Repairer and Remote Capacitor Transmitter range
20% bonus to Armor Maintenance Bot transfer amount

QuestionThis is the confusing part (at least for me). Why does it not list the full bonus like thisQuestion:

Amarr Cruiser bonuses:
750% bonus to Remote Armor Repairer and Remote Capacitor Transmitter range
100% bonus to Armor Maintenance Bot transfer amount

I remember asking this 10 years ago. It got changed at some point but during my absence it got reverted back. I never found a reasonable explaination from the devs about this. Or did I miss a blog about it?

Because those are the bonuses the ship provide. The fact that the ships have prerequisites that limit what range of bonuses you can effectively get out of them is almost completely unrelated.

The game makes a distinction between skill bonuses and role bonuses — the way you expect them to show up would only make sense if they're role bonuses that don't depend on anything, similar to the fitting bonuses that Guardian gets.

Yes, it's essentially the underlying mechanics bleeding through to the UI, rather than being hidden by some user-friendly abstraction and interpretation, but… well… that's just EVE for you. P

Note that there are T2 ships in the game that do not require the T1 skill at Level 5 to be piloted. The jump freighters only require their racial freighter skill at Level 4.

So mechanic wise it is needed to have the T1 Bonus listed as a hull Bonus as there are ships where it is not always at Level 5.

Which seems illogical. The moment I fly the guardian I get the full bonus from the cruiser skill and the description should reflect that in one accumulated number and not a number you have to calculate yourself like the role . And no, its not about the math itself. But I wont dismiss the argument that Im too lazy to calculate it tho Big smile

Seems I have to accept that.

It makes sense to write it differently for ONLY those ships because you only get a certain bonus depending if you have lvl4 or lvl5. But ships like the guardian get the full effect . So these are two different mechanics.
