How do I allow an alliance member to use ME/PE slots at our corp POS?

Header says it all. I know it used to work, but i'm struggling to get it to do so now.

go into the lab,make sure it the slot is set as "Public" . If it's set to "Restricted", right click it, choose "Manage" (or maybe it's a button, don't remember offhand), and make sure that the "Allow Alliance Member" checkbox is ticked (you don't need "allow corp member", because well, they're in the alliance).

then the other guy has to have either ONLY the "Allow Alliance" filter box checked or NONE of the filters (IIRC, NONE of the filters works, and then it doesn't break when switching to public slots in stations).
