Perhaps you are unaware of how the succession works, but the death of an emperor is also a joint death sentence for all but one of the heirs. It is not some desire to so quickly replace Her Imperial Majesty, it is a life and death situation.

There are more to mourn before this is all over.

I am aware how succession works, however at least in the case of Heideran VII there was at least a tiny grace period if my memory serves me correctly.

And in any case I was directing my ire against certain capsuleers that were fond of berating the Minmatar as a whole for "disgusting behaviour", when they themselves couldn't give the Empress' passing even a few days of mourning before eagerly enlisting their services as champions to the Heirs. I think that is also disgusting behaviour.
