Broken Repair tool

I have been running eve under wine on linux mint for a while now. So i dont use the launcher I just run the exe file from the bin directory. When there is a patch I just run the repair tool and all has been well.

So this time i run the repair tool and i get this 


(3/7) Downloading recipes: 100.0%,  34.97 KB/34.97 KB,   6.99 KB/s, 00m00s
Can not delete from "C:\PROG~5P2\CCP\EVE\lib", not a directory
Can not delete from "C:\PROG~5P2\CCP\EVE\script", not a directory


and now when I try to launch the game eve gives me a whole heap of missing file errors.

So I un-installed the game totally and re installed it. That made the main client work again, but unable to connect because missing the current patch. So, tried the repair tool again and same error and it breaks the main game client...

anyone else having this issue??
