Can also try Singularity to explode some ships as a free warm up.

Best way to avoid boredom is to set goals for yourself really, no matter how silly or weird they might be.

As for how I retain my inetrest in the game? I'm an eve journalist Lol writing articles from an IC viewpoint on my blog Aurora News (yes yes, I'm an RP'er, I do cover a variety of things, enjoying how it would be from an IC viewpoint!)
I also collect civilians, Sansha Kuvakei has nothin' on me!

All in all, Eve is what you make of it! Go out there, blow up some ships & save some people! Or harass some pirates with a speedy ship.

camping goonswarms main system is the endgame, you just buy a bomber, fill it up with some torps and from time to time just shoot something down... recomment a dedicated pc or laptop for this, you put it in your living room like an aquarium, somtimes go there and feed the fish with bombs when you see something happening

What you should do is quit and spare the rest of us your issues.

I had the same problem. I did enough caldari missions to anchor a highsec pos and ran a research corp too. Its boring.
The only thing that kept me subscribed was me liquidating my tower and moving to nullsec. never looked back since
