Gas mining isn't anymore broken than doing cap escalations in a red giant with bombers. What's most important is that you accept that windows 10 upgrade sitting in your taskbar.

You'll find vital and instrumental gas sites in C5/C6 space. You need crappy skills to suck gas you need less crappy skills to do it at max efficiency. Get a prospect and t2 gas cloud harvesters and you're set.

why even use the prospect? why needs more ore hold space anyway? use a few ventures, it is cheaper. less risk more isk!

Nice how you conveniently overlooked the part about your free windows 10 upgrade Tim!

Exactly for the ore hold. Twice the ore hold twice the afk'dness.

Risk vs. Reward is the standard measure sure but I prefer the Risk v Time v Effort v Reward model. Less trips back to the pos ... especially if you're in a neighboring hole is very nice and saves time as well as effort.

What kind of WH do you find those in? What ships do you use to mine the gas and how much training do you need to be able to harnest those gases?

You find them in C5 or C6 WHs. You can get into ventures with a week of training or so. I find it easiest (and less isk at risk) to clear them with 2 guardians + 2+ armor buffer cruisers, e.g. ishtars.

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, how does upgrading to WIndows 10 play into this? Also I heard some complaints about client lock ups in the forums with people using Win 10.

I haven't really played eve on windows 10 yet. I have an alienware laptop with windows 10 but i only login from it to update training queues or do market stuff. I was just messing with Tim.

I use 6 prospect pilots and when the fill up i just warp em back to the pos and then back to the site. No links for me. You got a fancy setup Tim!

I would suggest staying with just one. When you run two you can run into some tricky problems whereas there's no problem with just one.

For fits, I'd recommend either this crazy thing called "Google" (I'm not sure if you've heard about it or not, it's pretty underground), or doing this crazy, seemingly forbidden thing, called "Reading the Stickies". Now I'm sure you're above searching for answers yourself since you posted this thread without any previous research, but I think with determination you can overcome this high opinion of yourself and find the answer yourself.

I believe in you. Jai hind friend.

my god, i always hated reading replies like yours... its like reading the directions to put christmas lights on a freaking tree

I'd rather run 4 Rattlesnakes + scouts + OGB + noctis than 2 marauders
1. you aint stuck (bastion) and can ALLWAYS mjd
2. Geckos kill Frigates very efficient, it can compete with a smartbomb
3. 4 t2 fit rattles ~ 1.6 bil in compairson to at least 2 marauders 1.4b each
4. 4 cheaper rattles outdps 2 marauders for less money, my average amount of sites/hour is 5 Core garrisons or 4 Core Strongholds

-> less risk more reward, wont do marauders at all and use Rattlesnakes instead.
