But we also see Blood Raider, Angel Cartel, Guristas Pirates, and Serpentis Corp ruins in W-space. I sincerely doubt there is any connection between Drifters and Sansha's Nation or any other pirate faction. As far as I can tell, fullerite based technology still eludes them. Lets hope it remains that way.

Hmmmm, I've only been to a few of those shattered systems but I didn't get to explore around them to much. If there are husk of revenants in there it would an ominous sign indeed.

In this situation and the evidence presented, the more plausible answer based on the technological difference between sansha and drifters is that the Sansha have been making use of ancient technology, possibly that which was drifter in origin.

The most notable pieces of technology is the ability to make use of artificial wormholes. The events of the Sansha resurgence is sure signs of this. There are many reports on the topic as well as footage to support this. I would call it undeniable.

My personal theory however is that artificial wormhole creation is not some piece of ship board equipment. Salvaged nation vessels and repeated deep scans of them found nothing that would indicate as such. Instead, I have long theorized that the wormholes that interconnect the systems of Anoikis are in fact all artificial. I have long found it odd that we never have a wormhole that connects to deep space. Even more that they have a general location of connection. This makes me believe it is similar to function of our jumpgate networks.

Most probably, there is a whole host of structures who job it is to create connections between systems. Prior to the Seyllin Incident, we had absolutely no wormholes aside from the New Eden one. There can be no debate that scientists of the era were undoubtedly studying this. Perhaps they achieved artificial wormholes. But a misstep caused the Cataclysm. Those ancients would have made use of ancient technology just as we do now. Did they get the bugs out? Whatever Caused the Seyllin incident perhaps rebooted these systems but without any sort of control, are just firing up randomly. It is far too controlled to be natural. At least to our scientific knowledge.

For example, in the early part of the sansha invasions, Kuvakei had an extremely massive operation at planet Deltole VI. None larger I saw before or since. I thought nothing of it until recently when going through old records and discovered that was a center for one of the other ancient races. Perhaps it wasn't just the promised land or slaves Kuvakei was looking for...

I am getting off topic a bit though. Essentially if there is an artificial wormhole system and kuvakei has control, then it also stands to reason he would go places that we might not have any access to. Drifters might have even been the creators of it.

Much like when the empires first made contact, it could be simply a case of the Sansha or somebody made a first contact with the drifters. It didn't go well. When we discovered them, they discovered us. The footage from Tukoss suggest they are not playing games.
