______________
Noticed I have lots of science skills for some reason so I went to try some research.

I found some answers just wanted to be sure....

let's say I'm doing ME research for an item,
I get a small counter where I can choose from 1 to 10 runs...

If I understood correctly then I can only max the runs as long as I don't exceed 30 days total.

But,
the max number of runs is derived from the last time I run the process so let's say I run the research 2 million times if the last one is let's say on 10 then the max runs per BP will be 10?

I'll thank you if you can bit elaborate on it or if you can link to some proper guide.

cheers

The ME is the Material Efficiency and goes from 1 to 10 max.

I don't want to sound pedantic but it's best if you use the same terminology as the rest of us otherwise people are going to get confused. These are not runs they are levels of material efficiency. At level 10 you have the highest material efficiency and so the least amount of waste.

Some blueprints don't require any ME research. E.g. small rigs that use 1 - 4 of an item to build won't get any benefit from a 10% increase in material efficiency.

Runs usually refers to blueprint copies. You can take a BPO (blueprint original) whether researched or not and make copies. Copies can be used to build off or to use in invention.

If you select a BPO in the industry UI and click the copy icon you will see a counter from 1 to max, where max is the maximum number of copy runs you can make inside 30 days.

In the past I would have linked the evelopedia but that is horrendously out of date now with all the changes over the last year or two and is probably best avoided completely. Your best bet is to read up in here, also look at posts by Tau Cabalander, he has given detailed answers to most common industry questions.

thanks for the answers I'll do a forum search for Tau's posts as well.

Right now I'm doing some ME research then I'll do TE research and after I'm satisfied I'll do copy job. just learning the ropes and what's what.

seems that from the past and the impulses I had to train everything + the changes to the research system I have almost maxed skills O_O

thanks again
