No, you aren't buffing the performance of t2 logi. You're buffing the staying power of a single t2 Oni or Scimi.

If anything you are cutting the performance of Logi because rather than contributing DPS or Logi to a fleetmate through the drones, you are now using them on the logi itself.

That's not a boost, that's just a change of focus.

These are entirely circumstantial. Trying to force the logi to cycle drones is one thing, but its not a hard counter. 500dps tank at 70km is still a lot better than almost any other cruiser.

Its not just independence to solo logi. In a paired set-up your adding maybe 25% to a logi's tank. You cant just jam or cap out one logi and then make your way through the others tank. One large rep does make a difference in a small gang fight.

@Mike,
your not cutting the performance of logi. You are increasing options.

its an outright buff and shift in ability. And to be honest, Logi doesnt need the buff.

'shoot the drones' says it all. Logi drones arent squishy when they are within scoop range of their owner. They arent squishy when you try to shoot them from 70km away. 1. Going after his drones reduces your DPS applied to his rep ship, since you are reducing your own DPS the loss of tank is not relevant.

2. A drone which is usually smaller and significantly faster is harder to hit at 70kM than the ship that launched it but your point is somewhat valid.

3. One large rep can be significant. Many are the times that a single large rep has kept a ship in the fight long enough to take down one of the opponents logi ships and that has been the death nail to their fleet.

As a drones pilot on this character and a logi on another I would love to have this ability, but the possibilities of it being OP are far to great so you stil get a -1.

I believe the option used to exist, but has been removed for balance reasons. It may be possible to bring it back and remain balanced, but the code isn't an issue I don't think.
