Data inquiry to The Society of Conscious Thought
Attention to Idmei Sver
Priority: High

My condolences regarding the destruction of the SoCT ship piloted by Mentor Raish. We understand that Matshi Raish obtained data regarding Empress Jamyl Sarum and were hoping that this was transmitted prior to the destruction of Mentor Raish's Gnosis. As a favor to an alumnus and supporter of the Society of Conscious Though, I request on behalf of myself and my corporation that you would share this data to confirm or disprove long-term suspicions we have held regarding the Empress.

Additionally, further information is requested regarding the Society's knowledge of the Drifters and if they are a threat or ally to the Society. We do not want to alienate a potential ally, especially if our causes align.

One is also curious if the SoTC shared intelligence from 'scan' of the Empress's Titan with the Drifters enabling them to launch their devastating attack.

It was totally overkill for the Empress to kill Mentor Raish. There's alot of other things that are really weird about it. The fact that they asked him to stop, and that he must have known the risk he was taking for instance. All I'm saying is it's not all one way. There's weirdness on both sides.

There wasn't weirdness from the Empire side. He was ordered to stop in the Empire territory by the armed vessel with authority power. He refused to comply and was destroyed. Rather typical response.

What was really weird, that he refused to comply, like it was a military action AGAINST the Empire.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

I thought he did comply and was effectively flying away from the Seraph when he was to all intents and purposes shot in the back. Surely he could have been detained with ease if he had transgressed. Summary execution is no way to enforce justice.

As an alumnus of the SoCT, you should feel ashamed to make such a demand out of simple privilege or title, sir.

Knowledge has to be earned.

And when we craved the truth we would open it up and let the grains wash over us. We would soak ourselves in its depth and bask in its radiance.
But the book is flawed. We can take more truth from it than we have earned. And soon we would be turning empty pages.

You assume it was not earned. Such foolishness. Why should I spill what grains of sand so openly for your perusal, for you who have not earned it?

A SoCT ship scans the Empress' ship with a Drifter-like device and a soon after the Drifters assassinate her, specifically targeting her ship and her ship alone?

I think th SoCT needs to answer to charges relating to the assassination of the Amarr Head of State and any SoCT member in Amarr space should be taken for questioning.

Through inquiries with the proper agents and others, it appears that Mentor Raish was last known to be in the Yulai system, though not located in any official structure. Between that and the CONCORD response to Lucas Raholan's possession of Hilen Tukoss' cerebral splice, it appears that some very large wheels are turning behind the scenes, so to speak, and I suspect the Society will prioritize the recovery of Mentor Raish and investigation into Tukoss rather than queries from parties irrelevant to their interests.

Raish is also of Khanid... that factoid is no small matter.

He is from Khanid.

His actions clearly indicate he is not of Khanid.

You are from Amarr.

You actions are not of Amarr.

This defending the offender has gone on quite long enough, really.

A foreign vessel shows up entirely unannounced. This vessel proceeds to scan or hack the vessel of a head of state; a ship that could be containing extremely valuable, sensitive and, were it to fall into the wrong hands, dangerous information. That ship was told to cease, and only did so after it was finished with it's scan. Then, it proceeded to try and run.

Back when I was in law enforcement, and later during my time in the Navy, do you know what we did when an individual attempted to steal state secrets?

We considered it an act of treason if it was a citizen, or an act of terrorism if it was a foreign individual. As such, we worked to primarily protect those secrets at all expense or, in the case of the perpetrator getting ahold of them, to recover or destroy depending on the value of the information they obtained and depending on what the situation called for.

The well being of the perpetrator was somewhere towards the bottom of the priority list.

So-- the logic is that the Society thinks Sarum was an existential threat, and clearly the Drifters considered her a priority target, so the Society and the Drifters must be allies?

At this rate, then, I suppose we should consider the Society, the Vigilant Tyrannos, the Republic, the Federation, Sansha, and Blood Raiders one massive coalition, as they're clearly all opposed to the Empire and to Sarum.

I said in a different threat that the Amarr are a society of bullies.

They encountered us, they attacked us. They encountered the Federation, they attacked. The Jove? They attacked. Sleepers discovered? Oooh, new toys for the Empire. So the Drifters get all this intel from the Jove observatories and probably figured the best way to deal with all of us was to pull the fangs out of the the Amarr.

There's no massive coalition, but there is some massive comeuppance.

And when the Drifters turn their attention to the Republic because other threats have been dealt with, I shall laugh 'til the end at the Matari who act with dismay and shock.

In the meantime, I'm mostly wondering what could possibly serve as evidence of an association between the Society and the Vigilant Tyrannos.

If it comes to it, we'll survive. We always survive. Survival, travel, resistance. That's the soul of our culture. We adapt far better than anyone. If...IF we do die, we'll be the last people and it will be with a song in our hearts, our heads held high and the blood of our enemies in our mouths.
