Quick question about the overview settings

I've asked a few times in rookie chat and other help channels and gotten no resposne. So I figured I'd fire off my question here in hopes that someone would know the answer.

I'm using the SaraShawa overview pack, and for the most part I like how it's set up. However, one of the things that's been bothering me is that often when something displays in the overview(such as an NPC frigate) it will NOT show up out in space. I've tried messing around with the overview settings, but I can't seem to figure out how to fix this so what displays in the overview also shows up in space.

At one point I had it so that I could see targets in space, but they didn't show up in the overview! So I know it's probably got to be a setting somewhere. I just can't seem to find it.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You want to go into the overview settings for that tab and look for the "brackets" once you have anything ticked in there it should show in space.

Here's an article my old martini drinking CEO wrote on the subject, it's entirely oriented on PvP but it explains a lot about the overview and the UI in general, well worth a read.

That's the main thing, once you understand how to talor the ui you're set.

Just remember to update whenever CCP introduce a new ship or npc type to go and add it to both brackets and overview.

And pop out local , always have local open.

Of course! How else will I know when to post funny cat pictures at the friendly pirates that fail to gank all the time in FW? xD

I have it set up to always show all brackets, and hit alt+shift+x for special brackets, like moons. Some stations have a moon that can also be used as an insta. Jita 4-4 is an easy example.
