Is empress Jamly Sarum of Amarr dead?

Her Titan was ganked earlier today at Safizon, by a massive fleet of Drifters which essentially one-shot the beast. Then they one-shot empress Jamyl's pod.

Now, she is supposed to NOT have any clones... but then she just *cough* ressurrected *cough* from the dead so we know she's been cloned at least once. And oh she came with extra baggage, from that illicit cloning...

Ironically, I am conservative enough to worry about what may happen now, despite how I've never been very interested with the Amarran lore and their empress (from RP perspective, Ishtanchuk Fazmarai haves a few pending matters with the Amarr). I don't like changes, but I am open to improvements...

...yet the time when I trusted CCP about anything else than how to dress for Icelandic winter is long passed. Cool

Seems to me that she didn't purchase her CODE permit.

To explain to you would be to spoil it for people who have not read Empyrean Age and Tempar One yet. Cool

So.. don't worry.

I just realized. If the Drifters can do this to a Titan, they can do this to the Veldnaught! Shocked

Jamly is my nickname for her too! She's my boo.

Can confirm she is not a permit holder, though.

For folks interested in what happened in more detail: Empress Jamyl Sarum I assassinatedby Drifter taskforce!

In short, Empress Jamyl was there to see the official maiden voyage of a new Imperial Abaddon flagship, but got her Titan one-volleyed by the Drifter fleet, followed by a volley on her pod.
Now people wonder what will happen, as normally the Empress may not be cloned/revived. Curious what it'll lead to considering Jamyl had the mind of the Other co-living in her mind.

Best promo for Auctoritas if i spell that correctly.

In addition, the bodyguards are stupid as usual same as the captain of Avatar.

Short answer: No.
She already cloned herself once before so it won't happen.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

I like how you managed to take that from "what's the story here" to "grr CCP for reasons". It was a little clunky but I've seen worse.

Oh, and Jams is dead. Plenty of folks saw her pod pop. I'm sure she'll come back....but this will leave the question of "what happened to her...erhm...'co-pilot'". Is it dead....or is it free to move to whoever it wants? Maybe that'll be the story behind the coming Drifter incursions: the Amarr are trying to avenge their "dead" HBIC, while the Drifters are still looking for the thing they tried to kill in the first place.

Let's say that Drifters know something we don't... like what would happen to The Other if the host mind is destroyed... normally, the mind transfer process destroys the brain in the process of capturing a image of it, so the corpse is useless as source of information on the mind of the owner...

But, what if the clone dies and there's no burn scan? Or what if the Other could foresee that and nonetheless transferred itself to elsewhere?

We know that The Other is there in Sarum's mind... but is it a prisoner or just a guest? If it is just a guest, the Drifters would have no reason to kill Sarum unless they're desperate and/or foolish. The Other inside Sarum's mind is a known unknown; if it escapes, then becomes a unknown unknown.

And then, there's the part that always annoyed me... the superweapon. Why was used only once? Can't be used ever again? Where did it come from? Is its existence linked to that of Jamyl Sarum's? IIRC, rumor is that it was a salvaged Terran weapon. But then again, where did it come from...?

And specially...

What shot caused the blast of Caroline's star?
