Personal assets API - update frequency

Hi all,

How often does the data for the personal assets, drawn via XML API, update?

Let me explain what I mean:

I've build a small spreadsheet to help track my assets across my different chars and accounts. However, I noticed that the asset list doesn't always seem up to date.

Example: I was doing some mining for my industry. After I finished mining, I transferred my ore to my hangar and fired up my spreadsheet to do the math on what would give me the best value for my ores. However, I noticed that the ores were not in the XML I imported.

I figured that there might be a delay, so I waited about an hour and updated the XML again. Still nothing...

Therefore how often does the data for XML update?

Nope. From a relatively current asset XML:

currentTime: 2015-07-10 10:32:32
cachedUntil: 2015-07-10 12:14:50

So that's ~ 2 hours.

Kali Izia is correct the cache time is 6 hours but as is usual the cacheUntil time reports earliest time you can get a update. The only way to know for sure what the actual cache period is is to get it at the actual time and then take current time from the cacheUntil time to get the interval.

It's 6 hours and all these years we've constantly asked CCP to lower it but because of the amount of time the query to the EVE DB takes, just for one character, it's technically impossible atm to lower the timer.
