I agree with a lot and disagree with a lot also.

I get the feeling you are coming from a pvp background.

Like it or not PVE is a large part of the game and if I couldn't do level 4 missions in hi sec there would be no reason to play I couldn't generate ISk t

It is not possible to run missions in a hostile system without support.

I still like the idea suggested a while back of having npc corp only open for a period of say x amount of months after that the player is auto ejected into NO CORP. and in no corp you would be freely attacakble with out concord police intervention thus forcing you to form a corp or join one.

Something does need doing about npc rookie corp immunity (also let me block them)

Back those ideas and I'll support you to hell and back

I do primarily PvP now, but I come from a PvE background (several years doing nothing but missions and mining), and I still run missions, pop rats, and do industry to pay for said PvP. I understand that there is a very large core of hisec players who will likely never voluntarily leave hisec, or shoot at another player, and I want to leave New Eden somewhere where they can still do that. I just don't think that they should be able to earn as much while doing it as other hisec residents who are taking more risks.

I think players should still be able to run level 4 missions in hisec, even in 1.0 and 0.9 systems. I just think that doing level 4s in 0.5s and 0.6s should pay more. Risk vs reward.

I used to like the idea of limiting NPC corp membership, but a few folks pointed out to me that if I really support EvE as a sandbox, that means being open to all styles of play, including living permanently in an NPC corp. Keeping with the risk vs. reward theme, since they operate with a higher degree of safety, I feel that members of player corps should be offered more rewards for leaving said safety.

That's still a ton of alts. And really my point was that for CODE/goons to claim that highsec bears would outnumber them by tens of thousands when there are only 20-30k players on at a time in the entire game is disingenuous at best.

Because the math changes where players you don't like are concerned? Seeing as you want to narrow this to just the players who are online at a given time, we're still vastly outnumbered. Refute that. Cool

But seriously, kill faction navies and facpo. All they do is interfere with pvp situations in which either one or both parties have decided they are either okay with everyone being able to shoot them, or with being straight up at war with another group of players.

I disagree and think you are an idiot. You've been spewing garbage on these forums for years and I think it's time for you to stop embarrassing yourself. Get a life my child.

Edit : last post on this moronic thread, I promise this time. Don't forget also that Thunderdomes are for Tina Turner wannabes.

I won't hold it against you though. Blame it on the mai tais.

Since you've decided to again grace us with your presence, I'm curious: why exactly do you think that removing FacPo and FacNav is a bad idea beyond thinking that Vimsy is an idiot?

Just on this - the increased risk of running them in 0.5 and 0.6 is actually pretty minimal. The real danger isn't getting ganked in the mission pocket, it's getting ganked in transit between systems.

So for instance, for a mission given in Vylade (0.8) that sends you to Du Annes (2j away, 0.6), the danger is being shot on the Balle side of the Vylade-Balle gate (Balle is 0.5).

On the flip side, some systems with high positive truesec are quite dangerous to mission in. Dodixie (0.9) comes to mind.

I actually think the correlation between truesec and danger in highsec missioning is quite small.

Now if storyline missions had their rewards buffed but usually occurred in lowsec...

Ehhh, at this point I'm not about moving existing hisec content to losec.

And I hear what you're saying about relative system safety, but I'm becoming more and more a fan of simple changes, not complex ones. Implementing some algorithm that actually calculate relative risk would be complicated. EDIT: Plus, strictly speaking, Dodixe, is dangerous due to player activity since it is a trade hub, not so much game mechanics.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but... isn't that exactly what the NPC corp tax rate dynamic you are proposing does? It would have to: calculate the relative risk, assign this a cost, implement a graduated tax rate to compensate?

Yeah, but the other proposal is just the same principle inverted. Now you're putting a positive risk calculation mechanic in to compensate for being a part of the war system rather than circumventing it.

IMHO your platform of simple reforms is both worthwhile and admirable; however, I think a good deal of said reforms are ineffectual in the face of such simple work-arounds.

"move players out of npc corps into dangerous areas so i can kill them easier"

There, fixed it for you. It's the same ****, u want power, you want CSM and anyone can see thru this rubbish

If u had ur way

Lvl 4's would be in low sec only
Kernite/Omber - 0.4 only and below
No sentry guns
No war dec fee's

You're a pvp pilot, you're not fit to be on the CSM.

Political Science Major here bro, don't even try it.

You want new players to be killed easier than it is at present because you, like EVERY OTHER EMPIRE PVP PILOT are a 100% coward.

Thanks :)

Oh and don't spout about "Risk Vs reward"

Because PvP pilots spout this rubbish every time you try to nerf PvE harder and harder

Let's take away your links in high sec, they have to be on field and suspect "No, that's forced game play, you can't do that" - Hmm seem's Risk Vs Reward if u ask me, you risk a t3 to boost to get loot i.e the rewards on your kill.

Funny how these things work isn't it?

You want PvE nerfed, you want NPC corps kicking players out.

How dare you tell me, a paying customer, how to play this game, who the hell do you think you are? You don't have the right, you never did.

So how about if you want PvP like the old days

Remove capitals
Remove JB's
Remove Entosis

But no, you don't dare do that, then holding regions and null pvp would become super hard, you'd actually have to work to hold regions.

Here's an idea, keep your nose out of high sec and stick it back in null, stop trying to force NEW PLAYERS how to play the game i.e play it how you want them to play it, when you pay for their accounts, then you can spout rubbish, until then
