CONCORD Agents?

Question: I see on Eve Agents (chribba's website) that there are CONCORD agents throughout the universe. But then I hear that they were removed from the game.

Do they exist?

As I understand, they used to exist in game, but were removed as they became used as an exploit to rapidly claw back negative security status. Your Concord standing is your Security Status.

The problem is CCP didn't consider that some stations are still Concord owned. This causes problems, for example one of these stations in Auturis is the HQ of Blue Republic, one of the corporation in RvB. It is virtually impossible to raise your Concord Standing up to 6.7 whereby you can use the reprocessing plants in these stations free of charge. There is a large market in the Blue HQ's and many larger ships are built in the station. Minerals have to be imported or processed at a loss. Traders also suffer, because they can't get their broker's fees reduced to the minimum.

This article suggest that 2 Agents still exist to offer one time only missions. How dated this is I don't know.
