For those of us who spend most of our time in Solitude Region, we know that resources can be scarce. There is, after all, a reason that pretty much every station in the region has a manufacturing slot. We have to make everything ourselves. It has come to my attention that some things are lacking in their availability; namely T2 modules, guns, building components, etc. It is my hope that some of could band together to increase availability in these areas. Of course, there is absolutely nothing wrong with making a profit on these things, so pricing can be what it can be.

This is by no means a military organization, simply a financial one. It is not my intention to form an alliance based on this, or even a corporation. I simply wish to make the lives of the residents of Solitude Region a little more... civilized. If this sounds like a good idea, please feel free to contact me by dropping me an EvE mail or replying to this. If you don't want have anything to do with it, no big deal either. We have nothing to lose, only profit to gain.

The same as you i'm living in Solitude region and i have to agree that the market is lacking a lot of things. If you have an idea on how to change it and make a bit of profit, I can listen to your proposition.

From my experience in Placid I'd recommend a loose association of alliances, corporations and individual capsuleers agree on a system, or even better a specific station in that system from which to trade.

My own corp, Viriette MicroLabs, operates from the Intaki system where I understand that some corporations focus on seeding the market so that should someone dock in their pod they are able to purchase, fit and supply a combat ship from where they are and it's not a bad strategy as far as I can tell.

If a number of groups all use the same station for their sales orders they invariably use it to purchase too and so by it's own momentum the system's own trading increases to a point where local capsuleers are using it as a more convenient alternative to the more established trade hubs such as Jita or Dodixie.

Looking at a map of the Solitude region I'd suggest Pertnineere as a potential system. It's lowsec status means it would benefit from the custom of those who cannot easily enter hisec and the rest of the Elose constellation has good station facilities available.

If I wasn't so heavily invested in Placid I'd consider trading in Solitude myself.

I wouldn't set up in Pertnineere, that would be ill-advised. We do like easy kills though. Your call.

The most effective market stocking method is generally to jump Freighters directly from Stacmon into wherever's quiet at the time.

Oh, and sorry about the lack of T2 Caldari products, we recently participated in some spring cleaning and removalist work which resulted in a distinct public lack of the components.

The reason for the lack of a local market is that the local alliances have internal supply mechanisms.

Mixed Metaphor used to live in Solitude, and we understand how problematic obtaining simple goods and resources can be out there. There used to be a grey-market railroad of sorts - corporations possessing carriers would co-operate to move things between Solitude and the rest of Gallente space. I'm pretty sure with a little work that could be resurrected.

Such threats can be easily removed.

I would like to hear more about your plans in Solitude. Ishukone-Raata is always interested in new markets, so please contact me via EvEmail I am sure we can work something out.

Sorry for the late response. Soli has always been feast-or-famine, depending on which transient group is currently taking a respite in the area. Frequently we'll see fallout groups from local 0.0 actions holing up and taking some R&R in Soli, which can result in some good times if you're willing to run equipment across Aridia and/or Genesis lowsec.

Whether you come out across the Gonditsa or Udianoor access points (I stopped trying to do 0.0, my timing and luck always stink and I run into someone's warband) doesn't seem to matter, there always seems to be lots of locals to "greet" you.

But if you're willing to take the risk, there's reward to be made as there is a generous 'frontier markup' associated with selling products in Solitude. Boystin and Octanneve seem to be the hottest trading spots -- Pertnineere is a wretched hive of scum and villainy and should be avoided. =)

Now...if only more W-Spacers would find their ways into Soli on their way back...we can always use lots and lots of higher-grade mins.

Happy profit.

I don't think so.

Yes, yes it is. Thank you. I prefer the term 'Selective liberator of valuable assets from those too demonstrably careless to be trusted with them'.
