I have a carrier from 3 years ago and have been unsubbed for the past 2 years. It has large rigs in it. Someone suggest I check to see if this is something a ship collector would be interested in getting.

"Wrong-sized" rigs are nothing special IMHO. I'd have zero interest in such things, even if it was the last one of its kind.

FWIW, I have a Chimera with large rigs. It isn't special, just old.

everybody and their mom has a carrier with large rigs. really not special at all.
