You say that as if screaming in Jita while PCU dropped off the map hasn't made CCP change course before.

That time they actually had a point, this time it's just a bunch of RMTers who are pissed they cant lord it over a ton of systems they dont live in anymore.

Note I am not saying the new sov system doesnt need work, CCP have already acknowledged it does, its just this 'woe is us the sky is falling' routine spouting from every ******* in null who cant adapt has gotten real old real quickly.

Sshhhhh. Just hush now. you really shouldn't open your mouth about Sov, it might make you look foolish,

in that case please STFU about anything that happens outside nullsec, door goes both ways after all.

Also I appreciate the distinction might be too subtle for you to grasp but I'm not defending the new system in any way, just pointing out how sick I am of hearing nullsec whine about it.

Accordingly to their posts, that wasn't really entertaining to them either.

Their population density is almost 10 times lower than one of Goonswarm, for example. Kinda makes you think about that...

RUSpace cant communicate here on GD, due to language constraints.

They have different forums and avenues of expression, ultimate of which is ingame intervention.

Looks like they arent happy either with Sovnchanges (especially conjoined to the price of vodka/plex).

As I said earlier, inorder for Russians to protest/riot, things have to get REALLY bad.

Its an international indicator across the tolerance levels of different cultures.
I wonder how the Chinese are coping.

They are comunicating thru their forum. I dont want to see it because I know they are not relevant more than we are. Its the same system of sov after all.

Of course they are not happy, the ENTIRE POINT of the changes was to make paper, overextended empires like theirs untenable.

This is a) working as intended and b) hardly a surprise.

There was a reason all the sane and smart entities contracted in the lead up to this, whilst these goofballs just hoovered up space like a fatguy eating doughnuts instead, they couldn't see past growing the rental areas.

I'll point out that Boat has been gleefully building up his renter base

Maybe we should not talk about politics here.

We are in agreement that RU feedback matters as much as anyone elses.

In terms of politics, you can disagree, but I hold to my observation that russian reaction to change has a higher threshold than that of many other western cultures. I dont see it as political, but as cultural. Anyone who has lived in more than one country would recognise different cultures react differently and to different extent, to any individual change.

Furthermore, we are not talking about international politics here.
We are talking about changes to a game, though which we play it internationally, has absolutely nothing to do with politics or the political relations of nations.

Except on the point that once RUSpace starts complaining with ingame action, it is significant, because a)russian culture has a high threshold towards complaint b) they cant speak, due to language constraints, directly on GD, meaning they resort to ingame action when their own forum fails to receive attention c) as the two above, as a result, riot and rage in Jita so as to be heard.
Lets be realistic and pragmatic here.

Inorder for CCP to receive feedback from the russian board, it requires translation by rote, or a report from a russian speaking ISD.
Players will try that recourse first, but because of the primacy of EN GD, and translation requirements, it makes sense for them to riot/protest ingame onorder to bring attention to their concerns ingame.

Its all good. I dont hold it reprehensible in the least.
Let them spam Jita with cyrilic as much as they want ingame, as a secondary and more acrive measure so as to supercede the problems of translation of their concrerns as presented on the translation necessary RU board.

Whats important, is ultimately the message is understood by and translated to CCP.

TLDR: RUSpace is pissed off.
This is not a good thing.

Why they are pissed has already been laid out. TL;DR- Aegis sov is cancer, they hate it for much the same reasons the English speakers do, but they are mad enough about the silence toward their complaints to try to force a response.

It hardly applies to video games though. I don't see significant difference here except that sometimes I feel that Russian Internet culture is horrible. But then again, I tend to avoid many places that are known for systematically bad posting culture, so I don't think I can do anyone justice here.

There is Russian board here, on EVE-O. So language is not a problem, but they probably understand that complaining there is pretty much the same as complaining here in GD or anywhere else - it's rather pointless endeavour.

I don't think it's worth translating though. People were mostly spamming irrelevant obscenities and asking if they could buy CCP Fozzie's frozen corpse. In-game, I suppose.

For the same reason every null entity is pissed off right now. Doubly so since Ru space are mostly entities that don't understand that change of the way of life was intended and they were supposed to adapt to them (small tweaks that I hope will come notwithstanding).

This is honestly nothing new.
