I don't see the big deal...

Baiting in an orca is risky and he got nicked. However, baiting in a goober ship like that is also a lot of fun..

I'm not above it and I don't blame this guy for doing it.

I am sad to hear CODE responded like that. I thought they were more into shenanigans than that.

I love a lol loss mail, even in my own corp.

Yeah, we were surprised they even care about this. I mean they kill dozens of capitals on daily basis. Why give the guy a hard time for having some fun? He did get blown up in the end, but this is EVE, you can't avoid it forever. ^^

Basically someone on Reddit said that I had ejected from the Orca, and a corp mate had scrammed it before it died... or something to that effect.

What really happened wasn't too exciting, but it was enough for someone in the upper echelon to kick the corp out of alliance.

As I would expect any non carebears to fully understand, losing ships is part of EVE.

Put some flair too we like flair here. You're right but there isn't some EPIC AWESOME story that goes a long with it, This thread is more about CODE.'s rash overreaction to something silly.

Alright the cat's out of the bag.

The "griefers" of highsec are more prone to responding poorly to getting a dose of their own medicine than even the most sperging of carebears. Sure they like to get one to lose their temper in local every now and then, and act like everybody they popped was like that and deserving of their fate.

The description of the corp that was kicked: "New Order Joint Special Warfare Division".

Wow, they kicked out their own special warfare division. This is serious.

Well, since we have seen code change their tactics around noobs in T1 frigates, we do know how much they hate to loose that loot.

And all you need is a rifter that can one-shot a wreck and turn their ganking into a non-profit endeavor.

That's not the first big loss of CODE. lately... There was one other.

I'm noticing another area of operations where CODE. appears to have evacuated. Might have been Russians. Blast I love those Russians with their vodka and stoic attitudes and stuff. Except when they are shooting at me. (Shakes fist).


Admittedly that orca was not taken out by anti-gankers.

Mags is right. You are the most interested party here.

You seem to think this loss mail is important, but I can't seem to figure out why.

I've lost ships and been kicked out of stuff before too, so maybe I'm just callous to it.

Please, explain the significance of this kill and how it makes you feel.

Not really surprised that corp got kicked out of alliance to be honest. This is one of the risks of teaming up with other elite PvPers and letting the side down. Also, I've seen other groups do similar things before so it's not just a CODE thing.

Update to the story: I logged in today in an NPC corp. Convo'd Saviour CEO and he condones the alliance leader's actions... Not sure if he's just brownnosing to help get the corp back into CODE, or what.

He tried to tell me he had considered kicking me from corp before, because of a "gut feeling"

Anyway, the guy's that actually blew up the Orca were nice enough to suggest putting in an application with them after the war ends. Really don't want to wait that long to wait for some more explosions, so I'm going to start looking around for an actual PvP corp.
