Is it worth running Drone complexes to prompt new respawns?

So yea, I've been doing exploration in Null and finding a lot of drone complexes such as Radiance and Independence, but always ignore them. Is it worth running them to increase the risk of a faction combat site spawning in the region or does it not work that way?

From what I understand it doesn't work that way, there are X number of sites in a given set of regions so they need to be completed elsewhere before they have a chance to spawn in your area.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

My experience has been that it does not cause new "good" sites to spawn. If you do run a Radiance or Independence, I've noticed a new Radiance or Independence spawn elsewhere in the region shortly thereafter. I generally ignore them.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I tend to clear them. I work from one system usually keeping it clear on the side. Every now and then I get a faction rat at the end and they have the chance to drop SOE ship tokens, rare but a nice bit of income on the side. Had a few now.
