Been having this issue for the last week or so.

For some reason, whether using the launcher or the exe file, Eve doesn't even want to attempt to log in.

Immediately on launch, it pops up with the error "The connection to the server was closed".

Steps taken to troubleshoot (All have failed):

1) Launched with launcher
2) Launched with EXE file
3) Run repair tool (Always says succesfully repaied, still get same error)
4) Reset router
5) Connected through different router
6) ipconfig /release and /flushdns (Did this twice, second time worked, issue came back after 1 day)
7) Different Server (Was able to connect to Duality Server today for Mass Test without issue, still same error trying to connect to TQ)
8) Tried two different accounts.
9) Windows Firewall and Defender are turned off, and any/all Virus Software uninstalled.

If I run the launcher, and get the above error, then click connect in the client at the bottom. I get error: "The authentication token provided by the launcher is of an invalid format. Please try again or contact EVE customer support"

When attempting from the EXE file, It appears that EVE is not even attempting authentication, because I get the same error even if I input an incorrect PW or Username. It doesn't even attempt to verify them, immediately gives the Server Closed message.

Have you checked for a malware proxy recently?

Check for, and disable any proxy.

Probably the #1 cause of EVE problems is stupid proxies installed by malware or "firewall" products.
