What annoyed me is that CCP lied to us as they stated in a post that the customs offices would be "decommissioned and removed", they never said they would need to be destoryed so hence my annoyance when i purchased 6 to put up (not being greedy)

Quote from a post they did

"Customs Offices in all Low Sec, 0.0 and Wormhole systems will be decommissioned and removed. Customs Offices in High Sec will remain under the authority of CONCORD who will, in turn, charge doubled import and export taxes. Customs Offices are now targetable and destructible."

then when i went to put them up i only got to find out they were not removed but had to be destroyed, i have petitioned it but still awaiting a reply as ive lost alot of isk by buying them

Guess what they have not replied back

I'm guessing your petition is being chuckled at and mostly ignored.

There is. The limit is how many you can defend.

Honestly people, EVE is not welfare online, nor is it an experiment in socialism.

Might makes right.

I tend to agree with you, but I'd advise you that you join a local alliance and/or hire mercenaries. Attack some number of POCOs at the same time. The more POCOs they put up, the more they have to defend. That's the limit. Be brave and take this as a challenge.

Do you go back to every forum post you've ever made and delete them or mark them expired when you've changed your mind or been proven wrong?

It's pretty reasonable to expect that anything you read in a devblog forum post could be updated by another devblog forum post.

Why should two guys in a two man corp be able to own more POCOs than two guys in a 2000 man corp?

I never said that all im saying is that there needs to be a cap as in theory one corp could have all of them in the universe, it could be based on skills in corp management the more members you have in corp the more you can have but it should not be unlimited

Small corp of friends > large alliance of strangers

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

again I have to ask, how can you put a cap on it if players can just use alts in one man corps to add more to the limit under the same alliance?

you would have to limit alliance totals, then poeple would work together in unaffiliated corps, then it would have to be personal limits to the number of POCOs you can own.

it's simply not going to work because its something not designed to be limited nor can it be effectively limited without further breaking the sandbox

Did you check to see if you could use it anyway at a decent tax rate? Or did they exclude you completely?

Many corps are leaving their PCO's open to neutrals at a better tax rate than they would otherwise have.

Yes they are leaving them open to neutrals but at 10% same tax rate as High so why go to Low or Null.

Because the tax rate in Low is 17% and has a larger supply, Null even more so.
You will make more money than in High sec paying 10%, and have zero risk.

Should I mention that if you are friendly about it they might grant you blue status and give you a better tax rate than that as well?

Yes, maybe you can set up in Low/Null.

• Maybe you can get a better tax rate than 10% Same as High
• Maybe you can make enough to using the pittance cargo of a blockade Runner
• Maybe you can get by the Low Sec choke points gate camps
• Maybe you can avoid the pirates camping the Customs office
• Maybe you can avoid the pirates camping the Low Sec Station Exit.
• Maybe you can Hire Mercs at a Billion ISK a day
• Maybe you can Buy a Jump Freighter for about Six Billion

Or you can just PI in High security and not have to deal with this bullshit.

According to the original post, this person (your alt?) already lives in low sec (references to "my system") or does PI there regularly already. So pretty much every point you just made is moot, as they were all preexisting conditions prior to this patch.

The only thing that has changed for him is the amount of the tax charged (already being compensated for in the market) and who the tax is being paid to. The rest of the equation is the same.

So ninja it out, or make friends with the land lord, or simply give up and go High. The choice is his.

Whining is annoying.

First of all, what's large? Our tiny tiny alliance is putting up a few POCOs and they don't take long to take down an Interbus one with two sieged dreads. Especially the newly buffed Moros.

We have already had the local pirates put it into reinforced mode twice. They do it during our off times. But we have them set to exit reinforced during our peak time and we rep it up. We charge 10% to neutrals. You know what happened? We had nuetrals coming to help us rep it to get blue status so he'd get charged 2%

I for one am completely appalled that CCP created a mechanic which requires interaction with other players to exploit. Why should I be forced to use diplomacy or force or...make friends...to fully access content in a massively multiplayer game?
