The issue is, and to be honest, is that your corp is nothing new or interesting. There's literally hundreds of corps just like it being created every day, each one with initially high ambitions. Truth is, it's just the same old **** with a new name. But everyone wants to play space CEO of their own little corp (Despite not being suited for it).
Also, the point to starting a new player friendly corp is to already have the ISK to shower them with. Not asking for donations to start out in the first place.

Not to sound condescending in any way but it's the harsh reality of running a corp in EVE. It's not as simple as creating a guild in some generic MMORPG and getting a few people to join. However, if I hear about, or even encounter your corp in game and you put up a good fight or provide content, then I stand corrected, and might actually donate some shekels to your cause.

You clearly do not get any part of the post. I asked for people who weren't playing anymore to help if they wanted, not current players. The entire point of this corp is to help bring in new players while keeping the past experiences of older players alive.

I also guarantee no one has ever done a 100 person study on new players playing Eve. I have isk, that isn't the point. I wanted support and to pass on the legacy of older players if they wanted.

Typical internet thread though. People just commenting over and over again with out actually comprehending what is going on. It is fine though. I got a bunch of people from my old corp to help out so win/win.

So let mw see if I got this straight.

You are starting a "newbro" corp to provide "trial by fire content specifically to new players.
Tax rate is 5%.
Your vested interest is in running a study for purposes of your school program (and btw you need to delcare to all participants of a studt openly that they are participating in one, its purpose, and request consent).
You claim to have sourced 100 players (which I hope is not 100 trial accounts made by yourself).

You do not have CEO experience, but also do not want in-corp participation from experienced CEOs or investors, but suggestions are welcom3.

In order to finance content for this corp, you are looking for biomassing/inactive players to donate their assets to you.

Is this all accurate so far?

Sorry for being blunt, but I ran a similar racket in UO back in the day.

I wasnt running a study, nor did I claim to be forming a guild for newbs with which to finance it, but I simply hung around banks advertising my garbage disposal/recycle services with a character called "Ivan Garbage" dressed in road safety neon yellow garb, to older/wealthy/leaving players.

The payoff was enormous, especially from occassional idgaf leaving players who gave me all their many years worth of accumalation of stuff (and sometimes outright cash) as well as titles to their real estate. Mostly they where lonely guys who just wanted someone to offer a sympathetic ear and shpulder, listen to stories of their glory days, and one last feel of contribution and community while they ended their game experience. I got their stuff, they got one last amicable experience and a way to leave the game with some dignity and someone who listened and commiserated. I was very good at that, and sincere about that.

Smaller but substantial profits came from valuable stuff others junked through me simply to spare themselves the 10s it would take to move to the in-game garbage can, which I promptly resold on various vendors.

(Inb4 garbage disposal/recycle/retirement services now appear en masse in EVE)

The fact this is a school program for you, concerns me, as does it being a study, in which case you need to declare that and get consent, as well as it raises questiins about your commitment beyond your school program/study and motives.Doesnt sound like a newbro corp to me, sounds like an experiment run on new players as if they where insects in an ant-farm.

Im also perplexed how you have managed to source 100 new players.

Also you having no CEO experience, raises questions about what kind of experience youbwill offer to new players, that established "newbro" corps cannot, and which would retain those new players in the game equal to or better than these existing and developed newbro corps do.

That's because you're being so ******* cryptic with this whole thing. You refuse to reveal who your main is. Will you at least reveal who your old corp is? What makes your corp so special that it will attract a hundred new players? Like, what type of content do you plan on providing? etc

As for old players donating. No one is gonna donate their hard earned ISK to some unknown pubbie. Charity or not, people want some kind of reassurance when they donate. Not talking about investment, but they want proof that it will be put to good use etc.. A "promise" and "good intentions" means jack **** in a game where scamming and betrayal is allowed. You will have better luck begging in Jita local.

Also, I am (and I'm sure everyone else is too) curious as to exactly what type of study it is you're planning to do. You're being extremely vague in describing/selling your corp.

Well this thread was certainly a waste of time and server space. Best of luck with, whatever it is..

I feel like the kind of corp this guy would create are the reason a lot of new players leave Eve.

There was a lot of good advice given in this thread, yet the OP rants at people saying they didn't read or comprehend what he had written.

Well OP, you might want to go back and give it a re-read yourself.
