But you have to change the game engine in order to add a bearable planetary landing feature. Otherwise, it'd be just an overhyped, low quality update of broken promises and more spreadsheets.

Just FYI, the engine was 'changed' once before in Trinity already. Planets also didn't always look like they do now - Try and find screenshots of them from before 2009. Or, just try and find screenshots of what the game looked like at release. Or just watch the CCP Presents vid from 2013 :)

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Also you can't compare Elite, which is build on a solid foundation of procedural generation using real science as rules to EVE, which is build upon a sordid labyrinth of arcane horrors.
I find nothing horrific in rubber balls floatng in WD-40 :P Except they have nothing to do with "space" whatsoever.

Elite is pretty arcadey, of course (I'd prefer if they just remade '93 Frontier wth the new technology and avatars), and the Stellar Forge engine has all sorts of quirks, but still it stands head and shoulders an Empire State Building or two above Eve, if the player interactions are not considered.

And when they are considered, it all boils down to the fact that Elite:Dangerous is a game about space and spaceships, and Eve is mostly a game about people who play it and the interactions between them, as underlined by CCP with "eve is real" and "real life science fiction".

...I probably have the same stupid smile as ms. Fazmarai here.

And a premium beta lifetime expansion pass.

You should see what idiot smile I have on my face right now... Lol

Come on Elite! Just throw in some avatars, dammit! Is that too much to ask...?

Avatars should be introduced around same time when E:D has "Walking at station/ship/planet"-expansion (again, free for me as a backer Big smile ), as I have understood it (and seen at trailers).

Kinda makes sense.

Both games have different playing styles, yes they both might be in space, but eve is more of a strategy game then a exploration game

At what point do you just stop and say, Did i just do that

I for one am not pleased about a £50 expansion being released before the core game is even fleshed out, sadly this will be the death of E:D.

What are you talking about?

No it will not be "death" of ED (big fanbase alone will make sure of that, and money already earned has exceeded expectations).

These expansions and how much they will (about) cost has been made clear since kickstarter, and many times even after launch.
Pretty sure it comes up even when purchasing the game.

One can also keep on playing ED withouth purchasing (all) payed extensions, he/she just can´t access that feature (land/fly at planets or walk at stations).

Also, think they have still discount campaign (or it just finished), might be £60 when it comes out.

Yes E:D is alive and kicking and they have produced everything they have promised. Kappa

Also I'm not against paid expansions learn to read.

I hope that when ED introduces avatars, they don't move as clunky as the ones in Star Citizen.
Speaking of SC, I like the youtube video showing the Salvage ship. Where you can exit an airlock and go explore inside something you find. If only we will ever see that actually happen. Or even fly the Retaliator Heavy Bomber with friends :)
