The interceptor bonus to MWD alone makes any comparison to an inty irrelevant except perhaps some super fast AF. That bonus was what I trained inty 5 for, cause now I can dodge cruiser guns with /ease/

As for Tyrannis vs Ares? Tyrannis fights harder. When you get into dogfighting interceptors, it's much better. Doubly so when you are tacking/trying to tackle a 3 man cruiser fleet who has their own fast tackle... Being able to win that fight can be pretty important.
