I've only beenplaying two months, have my main in npc nullsec. I pay for sub and want something to pay for ships to lose each month. Ive been offered a focused pi toon 2.5b, she has max pi skills what could i make with her a month?

IPC V gives you six planets, I'll assume five are extraction and one dedicated factory planet.

Let's further assume the factory planet can be kept 100% fed and we're making Enriched Uranium.

One factory planet will produce something on the order of around 2,300 units of EU/Day

@ ~10,000 ISK/unit = 690,000,000/month.

I am currently focused on making Organic Mortar Applicators along with stuff to make fuel blocks. According to the number in the inventory window (when looking at my cargo), I make about 13M/day in PI when I don't screw stuff up. I am not the most organized person when it comes to PI. I have 5 extraction and 1 factory planet.

I've got Command Center Upgrades V and Interplanetary Consolidation V.

For a fully maxed out PI toon in null you can probably expect to make between 600 and 700 million per month. This assumes you have an efficient set up. You may be able to stretch it out to 750 million if you micro manage your colonies but then your just doing a job.

I work on an average of 650 million per toon per month and that seems to work out OK, although I am in a wormhole so it may vary a little from null.

Couldn't you create your own PI alt in a month of multi-character training? You'd have a usable character in about 10 days and start practicing with setting up planets.

this is also viable. I train my extraction alts to CCU IV/IPC IV and factory planet alts to CCU V.

Command Center Upgrades V makes for some amazing factory planets, and certainly worth the train on at least one character.

Close to max PI is over a month train, but still cost less then 2.5b in plex if you use multitrain. Even if it cost 2b your time to recover the cost is over 2 months, if the character you are buying also has some basic skills for hauling trained with minimal support train then I woudl go that route, if nothing else is trained then just get your own alt skilled up.

All sellers are required to pay the transfer fee of 2 plex or $20 to transfer a character, lots of rules when it comes to selling chars :b

The char is still 2.5bil since that's how much the buyer spends.

The seller profits by 2.5bil minus the selling fee of approx 2bil so net profit of 500mil

there was a free 2nd slot training while back for month.. I trained PI Alt + basic hauling skills to carry it over and some other stuff. almost max on planets (5\6) and upgrade skill is 4 out of 5.

pretty decent and u can get plex for less then 1 b.

the crazy logic, you're both right in the sense of an opportunity cost.

I could train a CCU V/IPC V alt and it would take a little over two months. Two PLEX is currently around 2b ISK. The 2.5b ISK asking price for the character is an Opportunity Cost of only 500,000,000 ISK with a Sunk Cost of 2.5b.

So, in simple terms, can I turn that opportunity cost of buying the character into a Profit of over 0.5b ISK in less time than 'other' activities?

Personally, I don't care. As I've demonstrated earlier in this thread, I believe I can 'recoup' the Opportunity Cost in less than one month and the entire sunk cost in less than three months. EVE being a long term game, that 2.5b ISK Sunk Cost will be ISK Positive long before I miss the initial outlay.

500,000,000 ISK for instant access to 2 months or more of training on an Income Generating Activity?

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! (j00 gieb perfect PI alt for 2.5b? Contact MOI!)

I am basically looking for the most effective setup for the planets in this system:

It is a c3-NS so my HS routes out are very limited. I would love to have at least p3, hopefully p4 products to cut down on the cargo space needed when I do my one shipment out to HS every 2-4 weeks or so.


I will pay 150m to whomever posts the most efficient use of my PI planets with layout of the colony, etc.

That's a pretty good mix of planets in there. The only thing lacking in abundance is Precious Metals. I'd suggest POS Fuel Block components like Coolant, Enriched Uranium and Robotics.

You also have all the requirements in there to make Nanite Repair Paste, which will probably have the greatest ISK/m^3 density when it comes to exporting.

As for what to extract from what planet, without a planet scan of each one showing the mix of minerals available, I can't help you very much.

PS: avoid J101833 X, that 42,000km radius will demolish your powergrid on links.
