Why the amarr didint bring their full might into the drifter threat arent the amarr as strong as they make the other empires think they are ? why the drifter mooped up the floor so easily with them ? why they didint bringed more reinforcements ? or any capital ships specially when such a vital location was being attacked and the amarr can weird fleets this big. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbgfQqaCwEk

(also pretty cool event!)

I was more under the impression from several sources.....Templar One being the primary, though I must admit I've not personally read it myself, in which Muriya Mordu states that the Imperial Navy is arguably one of the more powerful entities and more interestingly has NEVER commited the entirety of its forces to a single campaign or battle to date.

That being said I may be woefully misinterpreting the nature of the quote.

Also if I am not mistake the Amarr Navy is suited to patrolling and policing its worlds as well as conquering less developed technological entities. They certainly are not used to open conflict against more advanced enemies.

With the sheer size of the Empire, committing such a force may not be possible let alone desirable. I myself wouldn't underestimate the Drifters, considering how technologically advanced they are and the can of whoop-ass they seem to carry with their little Doomsday weapon, not to mention I don't know how tactically sound it is to just throw ones entire strength into a situation thats largely unknown and ESPECIALLY with fickle capsuleers taking the field.

Aside from that, perhaps they learned a little bit from their failed campaign against the Jove at Verik'aoth (sp?)

Vak'Atioth is the correct spelling.

Too large a response to combat in one area would certainly invite combat in other areas. Not to mention that capital ships are supposed to be restricted from movement in high sec.

The Drifters are testing the waters and so far the amarrians seem ripe for the picking. The kill death ratio is so in favor of the Drifters an all out invasion is possible at any moment. Couple that with the fact that we do not know where from or how the Drifters show up in empire space.

Hard to win when the opponent picks the time and place of every encounter. Stay tuned this is going to get more interesting.
