Point and laugh at hulkageddon and its participants.
(summary of ideas, do what ever you please with them)

This is not exactly a copy of the thread in C&P.

But i would like to discuss ideas how we could pull some jokes with hulkageddon and its participants.

There are already some suggestions in C&P (some examples copied below)

I am very curious what you can come up with.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Make it so that there will only be miners in Bantams for the full duration of hulkageddon by going out mining in a bantam atleast 30 minutes a day.

Dock up anything that is targeted by Hulkageddon for the full duration

Ideas that just came in:

Pretend to be a participant and by accident miss the exhumer and hit the participants (fly cheap and do say sorry for the full effect)

Pretend to be a participant and bump into them while they try to take someone down (fly cheap and do say sorry for the full affect)

Go out in fleets of bantams to mine the nulsec belts of the participants (leave implants at home)

Or go out in fleets of the cheapest Badgers you can find and act like bots to get a point across.

If you get caught, dont forget to point and laugh.

Above all, have fun with it.

EDIT: If you like this, please spread the word amongst those that do not read the forums.

EDIT 2: There must be more industrialist and miners who would like to make fun of hulkageddon and its participants. Please share your ideas in this thread how to achieve a good laugh amongst our selves while pointing a these people.

Just in:

Using normal game tactics to enhance the fun. Somebody suggested it and sparked a new idea.
I will log in Tiger woulds later on, please email me in game if you would like to discuss some more elobarate ways to make fun of these people. Lets make it a surprise party on some of the days. ( and actually yell *Surprise* when the clue drops for full effect)

New idea just came in.

Fleet up bantams, bring exhumer bait, bring scanning equipement, once we have incoming (exhumer disappears, bantams fly in. ( And all yell * Surprise* for the full effect when the attacker arrives)

Once you think you have it all, you have actually become ignorant towards everything else.

I was wondering whom you were reffering to with "we" and "us", but i think you are talking from a miner's perspective here.

And when you are talking about "participants", i take it that you are only talking about the gankers?

I should respectfully remind you that both, gankers AND miners, are participants in hulkageddon, both are required and without one of the groups there would be no hulkageddon at all.

I just wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to all the participants -voluntary or not- of former events and of the coming one.

Your sacrifice is what keeps the economy running!

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

This thread is a near-damn copy of your C&P thread. You should be ashamed for semi-stealthily cross-posting!

I was more curios as to why they would be need and pointing laughing at?

they're just performing janitorial services. Any smart player that isnt a bot should be bale to go out and not get ganked during hulkageddeon.

True, thats why a few jokes could make it fun for the opposite site of the barrel.

But number V is coming though.

I plan to do the same thing for this hulkageddon that I do for all of them -

Ignore it until it goes away.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

I guess if you fit this (or some other kind of tank), and you're able to survive a gankattack, you can point and laugh. Otherwise, cower in fear.

They banned Helicity for name calling during the protests. CCP is clearly after events organized by players, don't gather in groups of 3 or more, you are then considered a dangerous mob.

Thats cool.

I just think making fun of them is a nice reversal on tear extraction.

And thats why this is EvE, everybody creates his own game within the game.

Use neutral freighters and hauling services during a war.
Okay, just to cover the bases, let us run through the general tips for mining in dangerous areas.

-> Book mark two points - drift between them along the length of the belt, with "Approach" at 0.75 of top speed then if someone arrives, your speed is up to instantly warp away to them.
-> D-scan - find a good guide that will help you set up your D-scan. You want to watch it for approaching ships and warp away.
-> Scan for gravimetric sites. You get more warning when the probes are closing in on you and see them on D-scan than them just warping to your belt.

http://sleeplessinspace.blogspot.com/2010/12/how-to-directional-scanner.html

These two are more for ganking if you have Concord coming to the rescue. Doesn't help in a war dec.
-> Tank up - implants, CPU rigs, Damage Control, et cetera.
-> Carry drones - ECM if they haven't been nerfed yet might help.

You can scan while cloaked and if you find Hemorphite it is worth more than pyroxes too.

Some general tips and ideas that the OP might like to put in the first post?
