Never asked before seeing as I have just came back to EVE after a 8 month layoff due to an illness ( no need for details in that matter).

I pretty much have nothing to offer as collateral and I'm wanting a 3-4 month time frame to pay back this loan

Please do not let the name fool you as I have always had TexasGoon as my name in any online games that I have played.

My goal in eve is to help my alliance with anything and everything that they need/want.. I like all aspects of eve. Exploring, pvp, ratting with a group, you name it I like it.. Well not really that fond of mining or trading lol

I will be happy to prove a full API if needed.

I have a full time job and can sometimes buy plex but I can't afford to exactly drop 300-400$ right now.

I operate in null sec and love it but I can't exactly do what I like to do..

I do have a 350mil loan out right now from one of my alliance members that will be paid in full this coming Thursday ( buying 5-6 plex)

Yes this is a very sizeable loan but it is all needed. I want to also build some community standings

Edit: I'm asking for a hand out and for someone or a few people to put trust in a nobody. I have no credentials as to why you should do this for me other than blind faith lol.. I can promise I will pay all the loan + interest back in 3-4 months

This would allow me to get started ratting and just being a better corp member.. I have a ton of goals that I can't achieve with my current toon

Sounds like your alliance sucks. The alliance are the ones that will benefit but they won't help with the loan or to go out directly and burn some rats etc? I would be shocked if anyone here puts up the money. No collateral and the whole point is to buy some other character which would let you completely disappear *poof*

12-18 billion ISK (unsecured) as a first ask is very uncommon. I get your story and feel for you, but you are asking someone to risk what may have taken them months or years to build up. Even if you give API keys and the info on the new character, this is still an amount you would have a huge incentive to walk away with, reputation be damned.

Have you considered taking a different approach?

What about looking for a much lower-cost way to improve your earning potential using what you already have. Your corp operates in nullsec (and wormhole space?). Figure out what the cheapest way for you to earn money out there could be. Maybe you could start doing hacking / archaeology sites with a much cheaper setup, at least until you earn enough ISK to upgrade.

Are you doing any Planetary Interaction out there? You can train the skills up to a usable level quickly and start earning some good ISK from nullsec planets. You can earn even more if you collaborate with some of your comrades to make higher-tier goods before exporting.

I see. Despite how risky it is, I think your intention for the loan is valid. Realistically, though, I just can't imagine who would be willing to take on such a risky loan, especially with someone with no reputation (no offense!).

I was chatting with a newbie earlier today who had a similar sentiment. They were frustrated at how long it takes to skill up to do what they want to in game.

While I can sympathize with wanting to play the game your way, I'm not sure there is much to be done about it. While the tough progression can make early life a lot harder, it is also what makes the game so fun to me. Progression actually matters. You have to struggle for a long time before achieving great things, which makes those achievements satisfying.

If it were easy to get up to 18B in a week, the game would feel cheap and there would be no challenge to progression.

The best advice I can give you is to search for a cheaper way to start having fun. If I were in your shoes, I'd consider joining Brave Newbies, joining some frigate / cruiser fleets, and blowing stuff up while yelling incoherently on TeamSpeak about how awesome explosions are. xD

I mean, if this is your last option, why not give an alliance like Brave Newbies or RvB a try just to go have fun destroying things?

Before you keep asking for a loan and get bored of eve and quit due to not actually playing considee this:

Start out running relics in wh/null. You can make a few hundred mill a day doing this. After a few weeks, you will have enough to buy a basic tengu character which can run DEDs, rat (personally never ratted in a tengu but im sure it can be done) and pvp.

Or just buy like 6-7 plex. There are lots of low sp tengu pilots out there.

Edit: imagine being on the other end of the spectrum. Would you loan some random person 16b?

The problem is that there is no objective way to determine if someone is being "up front." Having a history on the forums would at least give a hint as to whether you're being honest or not. Even then, heists happen.

Also, dude... If you're getting 7 PLEX in 5 days, just wait! That is nothing. You could spend that time going for walks, reading strategy guides to help your future plans, and watching a cool show like Sense8.

Not that it's any of my business what you do with your ISK, but why are you giving 3 PLEX to your alliance? If they aren't helping you buy a character, why are you giving them 3 billion ISK? Why not save that money and invest in your own character, ultimately giving you the ability to earn more lifetime ISK?

What on earth could they possibly need 3 billion from you for? I would be careful to make sure you aren't being used. :(

You could potentially use that 6B to pick up a mid-level toon and make money on it while training the skills. After you earn more ISK, you can always sell the character back on the bazaar and upgrade to a better one.

I am giving you the benefit of the doubt here in assuming you're not trying to scam or troll. You should know that you are setting off a lot of red flags throughout this thread. For example, you start off asking for up to 18B on "blind faith" and because asking is your last option. Then, you casually mention giving away several billion PLEX to your alliance for "ships, fits, hell anything." You also seem to be impatient, based on the facts that you want this loan so you don't have to play the long game and because you think 5 days is a long time to wait for something important to you.

I am not trying to give you a hard time. I am only explaining what potential investors are going to see in this thread before nope-ing out of it. Lenders typically view erratic behavior as a sign of increased risk.
