Use the great glass evelvator like normal people. Just avoid the Vermicious Knids[1].

Bus? Taxi?
Dude, EVE is set in the future. In the future, for distances of 100km and more, people use jetpacks with micro jump drives.

WIS was not the incarna mistake. WIS has just got bundled up in Incarna as peoples main memory,
The actual issues were poor graphics coding causing GPU melting, which won't be an issue any more. And the 'greed is good' memo.

The question which I post in every WIS thread is: Do you trust them to get it right this time?

rlly? all good now, eh? Sooo... maybe they are just working on WoD as a secret project, no matter if they couldn't get more than three characters in a single area. I wonder how many test systems they fried just to get the point of having two characters in any given area.

And yes, there were other issues, such as leaving the spaceship part of the game broken for a very long time as they tried to figure out the GPU melting problems with WiS.

But always, entertaining these threads, as the few people try to talk CCP into becoming members of doomheim.

WOD failed and EVE subscription declined. Since then they have put huge efforts into EVE to keep it barely alive. Do you, as a EVE player, really want them to split their resources to work on WIS?

WOD failed because pssssssssssh.

EVE "subs" declined because like half are multiboxers and plex quadrupled in price, making it too annoying to bother with for most players, even successful ones as it cuts too far into their profits to justify convenience accounts.

EVE appeals to a very specific niche audience, and that audience loves to reject all outside gameplay options like a neckbeard rejects sunlight. Unfortunately the audience for that niche hasn't really grown much, but the void is being filled now by more than EVE. If EVE wants to expand its userbase, it's going to have to offer alternate gameplay options while the greasy neckbeards pout in a corner.

Guess we're back to the griffons again. Yes CCP, EVE is Dying™ unless you totally listen to these well edumacated alarmists. You must do at all cost try to capture those 3 million rage quitters drifting around the interwebs totally bored out of their minds, because they well certainly be satisfied here when you release the ultimate game of all time, WiS.!

hah, fortunately CCP isn't listening, they already said it was a mistake, not going there again, and somehow the sane ones here that understand this are the "pouting neckbeards". In psychology they call that psychological projection Roll

Do you trust them with everything else?
How that suits you, and how that suits other players recently?

I have no trust, I only say what should be done, and if they fail it or dont do it, they are kicking themselves in the shins. As can be observed.
Sorry that I am so full of righterous ****. I have seen too many bad decisions made by them to see I do have right to say it all, the same situation with skins too.

I guess eve just got its own victem of tooo long neclection and imsuficiant knowage of the playerbase in the years 2009 - 2014. WiS was just only 1 mistake at that time due the fact too much other stuff was broken at that time. I think many players have given up on it because ccp's ingame strategy competence image amung long term players is as high as the bottom of my shoe. Why should anyone play agame for fun, when you get negative thoughts even before you play? And if everyone seees its strategicly wise toooo redicules, why does it taking 3 whole years to get it fixed. Toooo loooonng

Actually EVE stopped growing when Incarna failed. What were expecting the people who joined EVE from 2007 to 2011?

Actually, EVE stopped growing when Incursion failed. Incarna also failed to reverse that outflux and only made it worse — once Crucible came out and WiS (but not WoD) was scrapped (again), the growth continued again.

It's pretty clear that you don't understand the physics of the game. We've all seen the pictures of the overweight guy with no shirt on. This is why we need large stations to make sure that we can stay in shape. Let me guess, next you're going to tell me that round is a shape.

On the other hand, I think you have now inspired a new idea for the CCP Fozzy, think train simulator in space. You can design and implement transit trains throughout the station. Charge tax for use, arm them against hijackers/pirates, and even have special guns you have to you to blow up the tracks. Tie that in with dust, and a little special skills for driving the train, and maybe some MH370 Assault Pistol's, we almost have an idea.
