Seems the freighter just logged off and disappeared. Thought when it was aggressed it could not log off and disappeared ccp.... whats wrong with the game? Had at least 10+ people shooting and pointing it wtf. Your patch is lame.

I do find amusement in the lack of understanding of the aggression change, despite the weeks people have talked about it.

The problem is in your understanding. It's quite obvious he logged off before he was aggressed, so there was no aggression timer to extend. The change explicitly affects pilots "When logging off in space with PVP aggression".

I don't care that you don't understand how aggression works.

What I do find interesting.

How did 10 people not take down a freighter in a couple of seconds. It took 3 BC less than 30 seconds to pop a Freighter last time I shot one down. It still takes a while for the freighter to "disappear".

So.... yeah.

The answer is he logged before you got aggression on him, his ship just hadn't disappeared yet. So a savvy freighter pilot can jump through a gate and log immediately if he see's trouble. By the time you can see him and shoot, he is already logged off.

The change in aggression mechanics was not intended to stop this behavior. It was intended to stop SuperCap pilots from being able to log when they got in trouble and simply outlasting the damage incoming until their timer ran out.

That's 1632 dps each on a freighter with no pilot.

You might be right there...

It certainly felt like it though.... all the good fight end so quickly. And killing a freighter is always good.

maybe it was a logoffski, log the freighter pilot and log in a different character on the same account. Eve forbids 2 ships owned under the same account to exist in space at the same time. So logging in the other char will make the one in space disappear.

Surely this can't be always true?

If so, what stops a super from logging in a ship, with aggro, and then logging in on the same account with another char thus instantly removing the said ship from space?

If this is so, the aggro change would be useless, and indeed, even the old 15min aggro would be useless.

Please say it's not so!

I'm pretty sure it's not. I have seen my own ship floating in a POS forcefield many times after I logged in another char on the same account.

It's not so, quite easy to check with a cyno alt or any alt logged in a bubble - login other character and sure enough alt's ship is still there
