when using no hud i still see the curser

so when i decide to do some recording and i take away the hud(using control+alt+f9) i still see my mouse. i was wondering if that is normal for all computer or if thats just with macs. and i was wondering if there is a possibility that there could be an option to turn you curser off and on when you are using no hud to record.
