I'm fully aware of the don't fly what you can't afford to lose idea, I'm still trawling level 1 missions in a destroyer so I'm ok atm Cool

Not sure where I want to be in game, missioning at low levels is boring, even tempted to park the destroyer up and dig out my punisher for a bit more of a challenge until I get to level 2 missions.

I also get the time thing, it takes time to be good at anything, so I'm still training up the basics while I decide.

Boring how? Have you done anything like it in other games before? Generally, lvl1 missions are just as boring as lvl4 missions Blink Unless you are talking about them just being absolutely too easy. They can be more challenging at higher levels, at least a little more thought to do them. A good alternative is FW missions. The end progression for mission runners is generally incursions. For most though, I think most, mission running is just a source of income, to fund other activities in the game. Mission runners generally don't dump tons of time into building huge mission running empires, not like those roid chippers do haha
what to do in EVE

Yeah I guess I mean the majority of the ones I've been given are too easy. I'd have been on level 2 missions but the agent corporation I started with didn't have any level 2 security agents so I've had to start again with a different corp.

Small rats are dying faster than I can target new ones.

Hopefully when I get to level 2 missions they'll be a bit more of a challenge.

I'll have a look at Faction Warfare to see what it's all about when I've built a bit of isk up :)

Something like this, fair intro to fw missioning. You're primary concern right now is less about isk and more about training up your core skills, they will serve you very well. lvl3 missions start to become more interesting on avg. There are some good lvl2's for destroyers and AF's (e.g. Vengeance - one of my favs) or their t1 equivalents (e.g. Punisher). As a combat pilot, the isk will start to flow well in time, missions are a very good source of income.

Recommended you pick up a little probing too, eventually. Also marketing at some point. Make sure you have a link to eve-survival.

Fight well, Amarrian

I'm in it for the money

Thanks Webvan

I'll have a look at that link, I downloaded evemon and have got a couple of skill plans, mainly things like some of the gunnery skills like rapid firing, sharp shooter, also some of the basics like Hull Upgrades, Mechanics, Repair Systems.
And also Amarr Destroyer and Amarr Frigate.

Once I get these kind of skills to level 4 I'll see what else to train. I guess if I get a good grounding for the basics then I can start the more advanced skills.
