Things such as these are worth far more than money. This could be a threat to known space that has yet to have been witnessed.

Nobility of purpose is all well and good, until you start having to pay for replacement ships and benefits for next of kin.

Just a random thought, how much damage do the sleepers and Drifter BS do? I mean is it tankable without actually opening fire on them? If maximize your tank and give them no fire then you won't lose standings with them and also give them no means to use their DD weapon (assuming that it charges by absorbing incoming fire).

The Sleepers can be safely engaged by a well-piloted cruiser. Drifters are difficult to engage. Given the recent use of warp scrambling and stasis webification by Drifter ships, and the site's use of acceleration gates, I'm not sure I'd advise trying to run past them.

Mind, two approaches have been used by pilots attempting to penetrate these facilities. EX-F used 70+ Caracals and Ospreys, and indeed simply ran past the Drifters as well as they were able, down both paths. The IKAME-led expeditions, being fewer in number, used cloaked ships and careful movement to infiltrate the site.

Again, both of these methods are likely to be much more difficult now that the Drifters are actively scrambling and webbing ships they engage.

Has anything been discovered in these systems and/or Thera (I vaguely remember something about a construction that could have been used to contain drones in Thera), that indicates something may have been held "alive and captive" there?
"Alive" should be taken very broad here, including artificial lifeforms and infomorph-like. The methods of holding that something captive could thus also be varied.

Concerning this inquiry, I am particularly interested in the system where Tukoss' corpse was found.

There were a lot of pretentiously constructed sleeper complexes plus these Hives. As far as I know we haven't figured out the purpose of these Hive things. With this size they can easily be anything, including a prison.

Is it still possible to use the acceleration gates while under Drifter warp interdiction?
