The phrase 'nerfing it to uselessness' is a fallacious statement; it also shows that game balancing is something that perhaps you should learn more about before you decide to make a comment.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

So let's look at the difference between buffs and nerfs in a patch:

1. Patch nerfs something -> Nerfed ones whine about nerf
2. Patch buffs something -> None-Buffed ones whine about buffs

As in both cases the same people whine -> no difference
