Redesign the Eve gate map.

Aegis brought to us important sov change - we want as many smaller groups occupy unused space as we can.
We can accelerate this process by adjusting how current eve map looks like.

This is not about removing any gate connection, but introduce few new ones, this way we will get new choke points and provide smaller groups viable entry and logistic route. Lets also not forget how this will increase possibility of having good places you can go to get a fight.

But what i propose.
1 Very simple rule.
That every Sov region will must have at least 1 smuggler gate to nearest NPC space if it don't already have direct connection to NPC space.


This gates will be always good place to get a fight , camp, kill a jump freighter pilot counting that no one will notice him.
This little change will provide fun.

Are you asking for new regions, or gates with 100LY+ jumps? Because the east of the map is a hell of a long way from NPC space.

Also, don't you think these will make logistics and power projection way easier? Don't forget that caps can take gates now too...

I agree with the OP that the map should be adjusted. The first change that needs to happen is that the East needs some new NPC space. It's high time the Sisters of Eve or Equilibrium of Mankind or Thukkers, or someone took over a couple of constellations in the Drones Region.

In my opinion, every Eve region should have some NPC stations in close proximity.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

This. The north east and south east has some region that are the real far ass end of the universe that would require some long ass jump gate to pull off.

Cobalt edge, Detroid, Feythabolis and Omist looks really far on the map with 3 region separating them from empire no matter what route you take (beside WH of course).

I like that there are some parts of the map that are truly BFE. To me, that is part of the appeal for those regions. I would not want them to get closer to Empire, just perhaps have more potential staging areas near them.

I think he's asking for a way to more easily store his stuff in an npc station just in case the new structures can be totally destroyed. This is null bears Plan-C.

Plan-A Stations will retain the WOW magic that lets the station be destroyed, but not really and everything in it is fine. You can see the WOW magic shimmer slightly if you look at the station backdropped by the sun just miliseconds before downtime.

Plan-B Space gnomes magically teleport your stuff to some form of container where only you can find it w/out having to look for it. There are like 100 flavors to the space gnome magic plan, they are all grouped into Plan-B.

Plan-C This plan also has various flavors. As above - the quick smugglers gate to NPC null. There are a group of ideas which feature the 'need' and 'benefits' to having 1 or 2 NPC stations in each null region.


Plans B & C were carried seamlessly from the jump fatigue fears arena into the destructible station fears arena. At first it is difficult to see the relationship between jump fatigue and new stations and transfer that into Plans B&C until you look beyond the game and into the mind of the cowering null bear. That's where you find the answer. It's fear. Fear of losing the APEX advantage in the case of jump fatigue and now the more base fear of losing all ones stuff (typically propped up with some form of hospitalization at the exact time your station goes down).

Will CCP mollify the cowering bear masses or will they HTFU? Stay tuned boys and girls!

Well the OP ask for new gates to empire, not new station. Your idea isn't bad but it's not what the OP try to discuss...

He asked for new gates to NPC space.

Making every region close to Empire kind of undercuts the point of trying to boost nullsec industry.
