Launcher wont save username

So recently I reformatted my PC and started fresh with windows. Since then (about 2 months) the launcher will not remember my username at all. I've tried forum and google searches and none of the solutions seem to help, and I've reinstalled EVE twice trying to sort this out (why it would have after starting on a clean system I don't know but it was worth a shot I guess). Does anyone have a solution to this? It's really starting to grind my gears...

Same, though it started with the color overhaul (if that's what to call it) for me. Kind of annoying that at every turn it seems, the launcher has yet again one more issue to work through. Either it get's stuck patching, refuses to allow players to login at all, lies that you are not connected, forgets that you have in fact logged in from this IP address before, or now this. Sometimes I feel like CCP is just bamboozling everyone on purpose just for funzies.

Yeah, I don't really blame anyone for continuing to use the "bin" bypass.
