Don't forget the ones who MTU the ore over to their orca. If you steal it in transit, boy do they get maaaaaaad.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

OMG I did this! First he let the can next to his orca, so I warped my hauler onto it to take it!

Then, later, I positioned my ship in between his miner and orca and just grabbed it out of the moving can! Lol

bingo, his pig not being a goat doesn't make the pig wrong, just him an idiot for shouting at his pig "WHY ARENT YOU A GOAT!" (Source)

Often just loot scooped from dead caps.

How the market works in these instances makes no sense to me whatsoever (people should probably STOP PRODUCING ABUNDANT STOCK.

People are not logical

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Ah yes, I do that with my scout sometimes. One guy got so mad he sent the drones after me from his Orca. He no longer has an Orca.

Oftentimes the "minerals are not free" crowd fail to take into account that there are also opportunity costs associated with:

- The .01 isk retail game (time)
- Holding an Item or material
- Resource commitment risk in manufacturing items that can incur substantial loss if refined post manufacture.
- Putting large quantities of resources on the market at retail (sell) prices/increasing perceived supply--and thus driving the market price for the commodity down.

As a mid-large resource producer it is often in my best interest to build and dump finished products to buy orders that give a competitive margin over simply selling inputs to their perspective buy orders. Retailing (Sell Orders) is of very little interest to me, though I do it from time to time. In many cases. the Crius expansion trivialized any "value added" by actually manufacturing products. There are a few notable exceptions.

Additionally, as a resource producer, it is often times more advantageous to build goods and sell retail or wholesale) them at or below "production cost" than to accept low buy orders for the input products from commodity traders. This is often the case when you need to move very large volumes of materials.

Furthermore, producers sometimes need to sell off unproductive product lines to regain liquidity for other ventures even if it means a loss in the short term.

Finally, there still are manufactured items which compress inputs and can save a good deal of headaches with regards to logistics and transport requirements.

My bottom line is, that there are a number of factors that might induce a manufacturer to sell a product at or below input price. Some of this is being done by those who honestly do regard their minerals as free. There are others who do it to specifically grief certain markets or retailers. But there are also others who do it for more rational reasons.
