Yes, I too have felt the sting of a WH gank. lol

Nearly happened again today when my site collection run was cut short in a WH. There I was, minding my own business, when someone appeared. I went to warp away, but alas, I was warp disrupted! EEK! And...he just held me there. I tried flying slowly to the WH entrance, but he kept following me. Unfortunately, I had no guns or any modules to escape (I would have put on a cloak, but trial accounts cannot train for them).

After a few minutes, one of his fellows appeared in an Ibis. I thought "s***!, I'm dead!". Believe me, that was their intention. No guns, warp stabalisers, drones or anything, I was up a creek without a paddle. Unfortunately, I had some loot in my hull, and I wasn't about to let it go without resistance.

Eventually, I tried one last idea (actually, my only idea that didn't involve floating slowly across the estimated 6.4AU to the entrance haha).I made sure I was aligned to the saved entrance and set myself as bait and ejected from my Magnate. The one who warp disrupted me took the bait and warp disrupted my pod. With his focus off my Magnate, I hopped my pod back into my ship, mashed the warp button and flew away!!! Can't believe that worked!!!!!!!

All shields gone, the hull armour with only 17% left, I made it to the entrance, jumped through the WH and docked at the nearest station to repair.

I did a little happy dance in front my computer.

Anyway, I have a few simple counter measures for future similar situations in my training queue. I don't want to have to trust desperate trickery too often. Phew!

Clever girl.

I must admit, Erica, I've heard of people living in WH's and it sounds very tempting. Big smile

I could tell you some very tempting stories...

It's not for everyone, can be as costly as it is rewarding. But if you find yourself returning to wormholes because you really enjoy the atmosphere or environment there, the challenges and rewards it brings, then it might just be for you. Already sounds like it.

Really great trick with your Magnate too btw, +1. Shocked

Great story!

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
