Unauthorized Access Blocked - Socket Closed

So, I've been trying to trouble shoot an increased number of socket closed incidents in the last week or two.

Just discovered today that in my Norton Antivirus Security History log every time I've experienced a socket closed issue there is an entry titles "Unauthorized Acess Blocked (Access Process Data)" with the following details:

Date & Time stamp in the Norton log match socket closings perfectly - on every instance.
Actor is CONHOST.exe
Target is either coNatHst.exe or cltlmh.exe. Most of the time it is coNatHst.exe.

Any help as to what is going on here would be appreciated.

I checked my firewall settings and I have EvE - CCPBrowser.exe, exefile.exe, etc. - all set to allow.

Only seems to really effect EvE.

Thanks in advance.

Using norton software of any kind and asking "why is my computer/network/game having x problem" is like flying an astero in hostile null sec and wondring why people are shooting at you. Even windows security essentials give less problems than norton.

Ever had Norton installed? Got more than 1 firewall running? got more than 1 av/malware software running? installed any windows updates around the time of eve patch? Ever seen adds in your browser? A million and one things can mess up your windows installation in the most subtle ways and cause problems.

For OP my guess is that Norton broke something that conhost (a built-in software from microsoft that handles drag and drop between mainly command prompt.) had locked up, i could be that conhost tries to handle the eve client or some wireless/wired controller hence when Norton try to do anything, it will break the packages sent by the eve client and boom crash.

My guess you have something similar, but you never post any useful information about your problem. OP did a great job finding the log in norton, hence there is a breadcrumb to follow.

Just a thought, a quick google search of conhost shows that it have had problem with google chrome in the past, my guess its something similar, Try to run a single client EVE without any other software running (yes close your browser), still get disconnects every 10 min? try another computer.

Out of this i get only 1 useful information, you tested a laptop and/or a PC on another network. Meaning if your friend don't have the same problem i may not be the internet that cause the disconnects. Also is this wired or wireless? if your run wired to the laptop and/or PC, try disable all other network cards, if your network tries to jump between the cards Eve will close your connection.

"full scan of everything", everything what? Name every scan you did, that helps, just spouting "i did everything" means nothing.
