So because you're saying it, then it must be a fact?

CCP had a lucky shot with EVE. I don't think they would be able to replicate that. Look at their idiotic decisions on all their other games.

Dust 514: Released on a dying platform with underwhelming performance, graphics and gameplay (seriously, I tried it, it is horrible)

World of Darkness: Bschhh?

Valkyrie: Based on some 3D googles stuff no one has and few ever will purchase. Feeds on a "WOAH SPACE!" effect which fades after 30min and then it probably just becomes annoying to wear this ******* googles.

You really think a company like that can make an EVE 2.0?

They actually do a good job at fixing EVE. All they have to do is stay out of the sandbox and balance and fix stuff.

Unfortunately, I agree with you but if they want to put a stop to a declining userbase they need to make bigger changes than just fixing existing mechanics. Eve is a sandbox and without people the game loses its meaning.

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't have the spare time you do, you'll find that out as you grow older and take responsibilities. I make a couple of posts per month when I feel like I have something worthwhile to say.

It would be much easier to list things that don't need to be changed. CCP just needs to work harder for their size the content upgrades are far too small. They can also start listening to their players and not cater to certain playstyles (recent nullsec wh change for example). Expansions the size of apocrypha or even bigger need to become the norm again.

all sounds really biased in my opinion, like you want something changed which caters to you only.

what exactly is your playstyle if you dont mind me asking?

There are not enough faces and palms to describe the feelings this thread invokes.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Please take a look at reddit and good luck explaining how most of these people could EVER be considered a loss! Lol

Btw, your "worthwhile to say" is the same we read hundreds of times already. Your ignorance ian't even funny. Just like the last guy do you have nothing new to bring to the table, yet feel you deserve your own thread and don't even DARE to verify the redundancy!

It's not worthwhile just because you think it is, no matter how many alts you all come up with.

Someone stole my idea Big smile

I wish you all the luck OP...you will need it...to try to have a civil discussion about something constructive...

PM to forum moderators:
You should lock this thread also. In fact you should lock all threads that could even have a remote chance of leading to a discussion of some sorts. That is definitely not what forums on the internet are for. No...they are only for throwing flowers at each other and only discussing things that we all agree on...doh.

Especially things like game design should never be discussed in the forums (!) as these are bound to lead to people actually having different thoughts.

Also you should take some random phrase from the rules. Especially the one about "trolling" or something. Pretty much everything can be squeezed into that one.

Also you should definitely never point fingers at any of the rude posters around here (their feelings might get hurt)
that are destroying all of the threads and especially ones that they don't fancy or where they hold a different standpoint of that of the original poster.

It is much easier to continue and lock threads.

Going to re-post something I wrote earlier as I refuse have it sent to some internet graveyard somewhere:

Quote:
With more graphic combat where you CAN control the ship easier and standardised viewpoints and battle-grids.

Less player power. I know player power and all that bla bla bla but in the end if there is too much player power the game will get stale (sooner or later). So more co-op but less "massive" focus.

Basically do an Elite Dangerous but "do it right". The EVE way.

So when you started insulting people, first btw, that was totally okay? Lol

Who started the heavy insults, because people didn't agree with him?

Oh yeah...sure...I insulted first my ass. Pretty sure most of the posters in my former thread already edited their posts but for NO reason whatsoever...there where like 3-4 posts calling me names and THAT was first. After that I can agree that I lost it...but that is because they don't have the right to behave like that...at least that's what I think.

So you admit you did, yet you tell US we can't have civilized discussions?

Do you honestly not understand why people reacted that way? I give you the benefit of doubt, this once, and will explain it to you if you just LISTEN!

Ah, very good of you to post a link to that one. Perfect...now everyone can see what a liar you are. Also they can see that one of the so called "first" posts is actually even made by you...doh...something about lowlifes....

Perhaps you should scurry over there and edit some posts...

It's not an original idea, and it definitely wasn't your idea in the first place, as evidenced by the numerous variations on the topic that have been posted in the Eve forums over the last 10 or more years.

Constructive discourse doesn't normally involve calling every other participant a troll because they disagree with you.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Jonah...I never called anyone a troll...that is one of the most stupid and misused formulations ever used on the internet.

I would get mad if someone called me a troll.

So again...what are you talking about?

I actually agree with the original poster. Didn't you get that yet?

How in hell did you expect your self entitled behqviour to not cause issue? Do you even know how self entitled you behave?Would you behave like that IRL? Come to their place and tell them how much you loved what it could be, demanding severe changes only because you THINK they are better?

IRL people would smack you for that! I would! Then I'd see you cry, laugh at you, slap you once more and explained you how you better grow up fast else it'll turn into a habit! You can't behave like that.

Got it? Stop acting like a child! You're an adult, so expect to be treated like one!

I got it fine thanks; you're free to agree with him, and those of us that don't are free to disagree with both of you.
